| It would be pointless, MAL is not a walled garden like Discord, anyone can just log out and view anything you make public on your profile by going to the URL. If you want privacy just set everything on your profile to private. |

@MadanielFL that´s one option if you really feel like you need that, but also if there was an option that for example your friends list is only visible to your friends or your animanga are visible to your friends only that could work? I don´t need my list to be completely private, I just want some info to be private for SOME people. sorry if I am not making much sense, hopefully I do :D.

| Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you need your friends list to be blocked from view? I can understand wanting to block someone if they're harassing you since that would affect you personally, but I'm not seeing the harm of someone you don't like seeing your friends list. |

| @Early_Morning Prior to the social media boom, friends list was the first place somewhere goes when they want to get ahold of you, or harass you, when they can't directly. Still could be a problem so I can see how they'd want it hidden. Also, everyone simply has different areas of comfort and varying preferences of privacy which often don't make sense to others or even seem illogical. Took me many years to realize that. I think maybe it's because ppl don't want to have to be concerned at all about certain vectors of their life, and prefer them private or blocked off from certain types. Just speculating, but like, its so they can take a potential worry off their mind which may not worry everyone else, since we're different. |

| There are enough means to be in private on MAL without other people noticing it But it's more convenient to either stop caring or to use a dedicated messenger for talking to people If you want to do the pro privacy move, then delete your current account and create a new account under a new name and assume a new pseudonymous identity. You don't have to add any people until other people you don't talk to forget about you. Inb4 you're actually going to do this |
