I mean, I do sometimes, ‘cause the MAL app: 1) doesn’t display controversial series (e.g. Redo of Healer etc.); 2) for some frickin’ reason doesn’t display the progress bar for anime I’m currently rewatching; 3) has no functionality for writing recommendations; 4) doesn’t allow creating new forum threads; 5) doesn’t load up with no VPN turned on (for me only prb); Anyway, both the app and the mobile site are like castrated versions of the desktop one. |

| i can't say i mind it, though i wish the 4th rebuild had "๐" in the title instead of "||". I actually like ๐ as a subtitle way more than "Thrice Upon a Time" considering it's meaning in music notation and how it relates to the story. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repeat_sign otherwise, the changes are just putting the evangelion series more in line with how every other anime is already listed on here. it should've been like this a long time ago for consistencies sake. as others have mentioned, you can change it to english in your settings, so it's no big deal. edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo-ha-ky%C5%AB here's an explanation for why the first 3 movies are Jo-Ha-Q (q=kyuu). since there's no 4th part to the jo-ha-kyuu structure, the 4th part gets that repetition symbol-this also explains why in the english title, it's 3.0+1.0 and not 4.0. edit 2: actually looking into it, apparently it's disputed whether the title for the 4th movie is meant to be a "final barline" as it was announced (๐) or a repetition barline as it looks like on the title (๐). see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebuild_of_Evangelion#List_of_films Wonder if that's intentional, the connection between finality and repetition with those two symbols... regardless, as mentioned, I think the titles are just as interesting/thought-provoking as the english ones are. if you don't like them, fix your settings. it's no big deal. both titles were picked out by the japanese eva staff. edit 3: sorry for so many edits LOL. yeah looking at the previous logos i think the symbol is meant to be ๐, not ๐. since all the titles have a colon (:) before the subtitle (jo, ha, q, ๐). so it's more of a simple message of finality as an end barline. which also means i think MAL has the title right, i was wrong previously. |

| Just realized the title change. Quite a shame. I understand the politics behind this, but "Neon Genesis Evangelion" is probably the coolest anime title of all time and officially recognizing the series now by its less-inspiring original title doesn't do it much favor. And somehow, even after this for some reason, they haven't touched the FMA and FMA:B titles' yet. |

| This is so stupid. It's internationally known as Neon Genesis Evangelion and it has been so for decades. Changing it now makes no sense even with the option to change titles into english |
