The official website of the Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou. (I'm in Love with the Villainess) television anime revealed additional cast, theme songs, a second promo, and a second key visual (pictured) on Thursday. The anime is scheduled to air on October 2 on Tokyo MX and BS NTV.

Cast
Rod Bauer: KENN (Kyoukai no Kanata)
Thane Bauer: Daisuke Namikawa (Violet Evergarden)
Yu Bauer: Youko Hikasa (Little Witch Academia (TV))

Yuu Serizawa and Karin Nanami are performing the opening theme "Raise Y/Our Hands!!" and ending theme "Optimum Combination," as their respective characters. The opening theme is previewed in the promotional video below.

Hideaki Ooba (Koroshi Ai) is directing the television anime at Platinum Vision. Ayumu Hisao (Kono Oto Tomare!) is in charge of the series composition and script. The anime adapts Inori.'s comedy fantasy novel, which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website from January 2018 to February 2021. Aichu Publishing published the novel digitally under its GL Bunko imprint in February 2019, featuring illustrations by Hanagata, and released the fifth and final volume in August 2021. Ichijinsha began publishing a paperback version, subtitled Revolution, on its novel imprint in December 2021. The third volume was released in December 2022.

Sumio Aono began drawing a manga adaptation in Comic Yuri Hime in June 2020. Ichijinsha shipped the sixth volume on May 17.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the novel and manga on April 2020 and February 2021, respectively. The fifth and final novel volume went on sale in October 2022. The fourth manga volume was released on January 31, while the fifth volume is scheduled for an October 24 release.

I remember this, the manga got royally botched by rogue translators and corrections had to be made.

Why read manga then there's official LN translation (though, who am I asking, people are to lazy to read and prefer pretty pictures with minimum text).

Hiring female VA for Yu has a meaning behind it.

The manga adaptation of LN exists precisely for the reason that not everyone is a fan of this format, and this is normal. With the same experience, you can rebuke people for watching the anime adaptation instead of reading the original. As for Yu, Yoko Hikasa mostly voices mature or confident women, so I wonder what voice he ends up with.
