There is also some scenes where you can clearly see a cut happened , with characters teleporting from one scene to another , due to the useless extented scenes being removed. (Especially noticeable in the Freezer/Namek Arc.) But overall , it's just nostalgia blindfolded fans , even going as far as saying fillers were good when only a very few of them were actually of good quality and/or funny. |

| I just binged the whole dragon ball series recently including gt and I only watched kai for Z. I thought it was great. The pacing of the original, which I tried to watch for 50 episodes at first, was abysmal to say the least. Definitely had a better time after switching to kai. Also I still found the ost really good. Some of it ends up being reused in super as well. |
| It's better than the Z in my opinion and don't know why it's rated low than Dbz but it's still good score and it's better than dbz in alot of Way's, the ops r amazing and the animation didn't approve that much tbh but still better than Dbz og and also no filler and more shorter it's good in alot of ways so idk why tho i grow with db kai instead of z |

(Especially since it was advertised as a re-animation , with the opening getting released in first.) Absolutely no one ever thought Dragon Soul was better than Cha-La Head-Cha-La or We Gotta Power. (Or Dan dan Kokoro from GT) The whole OSTs changes was one of the points which made the fans gnash , and it's exactly why we got special DVDs fixing it outside of Japan. (A few fan-groups even planned to do it themselves before it was announced.) You and the ones you asked that are definitely in the minority , and it's not even a question. So yeah , it's definitely a "you" problem. x) |

| I've watched both DBZ was fine back in his time on TV but his pace is too slow for our world so KAI is the way. Too bad KAI isnt as polished as except. |

| i have a full review on the DBK on this, but i will put this in short - DBK wasn't truly a remake but more of a cut version of DBZ. as key of speaking, while the animation looked sharper in HD, it was the same animation, but instead having the old DBZ, you just got shorter DBZ. so it's not considered as "new anime" or "remake" speaking of. and the fact that the opening spoils key moments telling that DBK wasn't supposed to be it's own thing, but "re-airing" the old anime in shorter way. i'm saying that specially as manga reader, DBK made lots of bold cuts but didn't changed the story to be more manga-ish. great example for this - goku never struggled with frieza in the manga after going supersaya one bit, but in DBK they didn't even bothered to cut his beating up by frieza. and the more you go to cell arc, the less they care about cutting fillers as a matter of fact. and i won't even start talking about the 2nd DBK. hell doesn't exist in the manga. edit: you know what? let's be more bold. did you know that in the manga, the super sayan transforming in frieza arc was only two panels, and that's that just go to this thread and see how people felt disappointed from the original manga, and you will know why DBK considered worse by fans https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=330495 (you should see me justify the manga though lol) |

| For a short review here's My review on Kai - The Faulconer score not being there, it really made those epic moments a lot more memorable. - The new animated scenes and art just stuck out like a sore thumb, it didn't fit the original scenes at all. - The faster pace at times did help but at other times it just makes the scenes less emotional or impactful. Basically they tried to make it have a better pace at the cost of everything that made DBZ stand out in the first place. And don't even get me started on Kai 2014 ... My review on Kai 2014 |

| The filler of Z was hilarious. Cutting the comedy destroys the action comedy balance the og had. I loved episodes like where Goku bathed in magma, and had a chic try to seduce him to eat him. |
