| When hovering over the cover images on the home panel, the text is all white when using the classic Light mode. Is this an unintended side effect of this update? |

| Yeeeah, I'm going with the light mode. The blue color font is really distracting and doesn't suit well. I think the main problem lies with the fact that how old fashioned the Mal design is. Still looks like a website from the 2000s in 2023. For the dark mode to work, it needs a complete redesign with modern features then I'll reconsider using it. I'm not ignoring the fact that it's slowly going to the modern route but still. |

| so, what is the point of there being a dark mode if the adverts on the home page are gonna nullify that? the flashbombs from that page are gonna make me blind |
| It's going to be weird being able to see the website in dark mode now. Especially when we have gotten so used to the light/white theme. I think it's good that they finally added the option of dark mode, but I personally will probably keep using the light one as I think it looks good together with the blue. I will try out the dark mode one just to see if it will change my mind, but I doubt it will to be honest. Newer users will probably like the option very much, when coming from other dark mode platforms. 🐬 |
