I am currently buying the manga and i’m loving it,i was hoping for this adaptation to be,at least, not bad and luckly i am not disappointes. I Hope that it keep going this way

This is a dream like anime for me like Yofukashi no Uta an midnight Civil servants..
night time scenes are so much better than daytime..

Shows you that policemen and cab drivers are so lucky to enjoy the night and wonder around.. That's the best job specially in sceneries like this..

But where are the people who wanna go walking around all night in real life?

Rather underwhelming adaptation.

Not a big fan of certain directorial choices, especially the addition of the opening scene and the ending, which were original to the anime and added nothing we didn't already get in the episode. They had to cut out half of the second chapter to add them and messed up the pacing in the middle section. They also left out some characterization that would have made their interactions more organic.

Hopefully, it will improve though.

I love this so much already, I can definitely see myself giving in and start reading the manga at some point this season.

I don't have insomnia, but I can still understand, empathize and relate with them to some degree.

A school having an observatory is so damn cool. If you ask me, it's a huge waste to just turn it into a warehouse. But hey, if it wasn't a warehouse, our two insomniacs wouldn't have any hideout.

Lidensfilms are now 2 for 2 for insomnia anime lmao. They did Call of the Night great and looks like they will do Insomniacs After School great too.

I can't wait for more of these two.

I liked so much the style of art, it's like a mimic of real life person, and that makes it so different from what I am used to see in animes. For this first episode, the scenario and characters are set for the display of the act. It also remembered me to Yofukashi no Uta but without the vampires plot

Is insomnia a taboo subject in Japan? It seems like it would be super common there, with how much they're expected to work and high stress levels. Is it just not okay to talk about it?

Wondering if it has some cultural reason. Where I live, it's both a common issue and something that most people speak openly about (And actively seek help for).

This may be my favorite premier of the season, at least for the romance genre. I also got "Call of the Night" vibes but in a different way (such as no vampires, at least not so far).

I like the relationship dynamic from both MCs as they both have insomnia and that seemed to have open up Magari fairly quickly to Nakami. It was nice to see both of them sleep together in a trusting way, especially later on for Magari who briefly fell asleep on Nakami's back when they were hiding from the police guy. I'm a little concerned when it was mentioned that Magari was hospitalized when she was younger as that could imply it may happen again. Regardless, I'm looking forward to watching how this series plays out.

i like the chill vibes of this one...and aside from the platonic romance (since its just the 1st ep) it also discusses some IRL issues of someone dealing with Insomnia.

An anime about insomniacs is certainly something I haven't seen before, but it's off to a nice start. Seems like some romance will happen and I'm all for it. Interesting to see how it develops from here.

I was having a really anxiety filled day today, so I sat down to watch this anime that I've been waiting to come out. I have never read the manga and only know it's about insomnia and astronomy. As someone who suffers from insomnia and loves astronomy and the night sky, this anime really struck a cord with me.

As for the anime itself, it's super wholesome. The art style is top notch and the characters feel real. It's a drama yes, but it's more realistic than the hyper exaggerated personalities you find in most anime dramas and romance stories... at least as of this episode.

Eagerly awaiting more!

First episode was nice. I related to mc at one point in my life. As a teen, i too was once a moody insomniac. The girl mc has a likeable personality, i think i will enjoy this one.

Skip and Loafer, Galaxy Next Door and this are my trifecta of wholesome anime this season, like Slice of Life and Romance are going OFF this season and I love it☺️

The animation and especially the art look fucking phenomenal it reminds me of Call of the Night in way with all the scenic scenes they showed towards the end😩

Spring anime is really fun this year I’m so psyched :D

Cute romance. I love the slow kind of relationship + more focus on activities like in a friendship. Does not feel too forced. (Must be because it is neither shoujo nor shounen - but seinen.) Bit weird though with the insomina setting and to have to people where it is that extreme ... in the same class. Lol.

Wholesome and relaxing. I think this and Skip to Loafer are the two most anticipated anime about high school life to air this season.

The atmosphere is very calm so I think it's perfect for watching before bed.

It's one of my favourite mangas of all time and I was not expecting much of the anime. I'm pleasantly surprised, I think they actually managed to capture the feeling of the manga pretty well. The animation is quite simple but I found that everything which is needed is there and I liked the fact that camera movements are made and animated by hand instead of being in 3D. I like how the episode is directed and edited. Voice acting fits the characters very well and even though I'm not that fond of the credit musics, I found the music during the show to be generally quite atmospheric and fitting. Overall, an unexpected good surprise, looking forward for the rest of the season.
