MAL Game "Fantasy Anime League" Opens for Spring 2023

Fantasy Anime League (FAL) is like Fantasy Sports with an anime twist. Players form their own "team" of anime from the Spring 2023 season, which collect points according to criteria like: # of users watching, # of users discussing, etc. You don't even need to watch the anime you've chosen!

Compete against your friends and other community members to see who has the best prediction power (or luck!) to come out on top.

• Top 3 will receive MAL hoodies!
  
• Top 10 will receive 1 year free MAL Supporter
  
• Top 11-50 will receive 3 months free MAL Supporter
  
• Top 51-100 will receive 1 month free MAL Supporter

Get weekly reminders before swaps and aces are due by joining:

• MAL Discord - After following the #how-to-verify instructions, go to #bot-spam (under Miscellaneous), type /asar join and then choose FAL.
  
• FAL Club - Click "Join Club" under the image.

Changes since Fall 2022

• Score coefficients have been modified to try and readjust point distributions back towards the ideal.
  
• Restricted list is pick max. 2 of 4 this time, instead of 1 of 3 to try and make things a bit more interesting~
  
• Increased MAL Supporter rewards!
  
• We will actively be monitoring episode discussion threads to remove/discount multiple posts made in attempts to boost FAL points.

Welp. Time to be active for this spring's seasonal. Last fall was fun.

Ohh finally a top 100 price, used to getting top 1% so hope i’ll get a bit higher this season

Will be my first time, although not my first fantasy league. Let's see how it goes 🙏

Every season is to much. Takes too much time in your case, making the workload twice as much, and in our case gets way to saturated. I am sure that keeping that for year will stop being interesting for good amount of people, others will only join and forget about it, which I am sure is not what you want. Switching the seasons in the other hand, for example spring autumn 1 year and summer winter the other will make it so both parties get satisfaction. There is this thing though - in 1 instance creates a gap of 2 seasons, which is the perfect time for newly created events or returning! Cycling trough events all the time is better than having 2-3 events at the same time then having big gaps. Ofc some should require less engagement than others like "valentine day" and "the luck of the draw" right now. For one you can make a poem, need to check others and rate them, in comparison to watching a show to your liking.
All this is suggestion, I am in no position to make you do as I commented, but feel free to adopt it to your liking, throwing it away also works, but making this event take place every season is softly put r****ded in my sincere opinion.

It is my first time taking part in FAL and i think it will be stressful to have FAL every season.

Am I the only one who forgets about it after 2 weeks? But at the start of the season I am hyped and say that I will be active throughout the season.

This game was very interesting last time it was open. Many surprises and competitive shows people could vote for during fall, this spring seems to be a bit competitive as well, so best of luck everyone!
