I just connect them to the same 1 TV. 1 3D TV 50 inch I keep an eye on that's pretty old but works but if I want PS3/360 3D gaming then I don't mind. Another 32 inch that I bought myself stored in the garage.
I used to do option 1 somewhat (well for the 4 slots I had and some stored in the shelving but I put games or empty space now) so I have probably more option 2 these days to be careful. At least for what I can do with 1 TV, 1 reasonable tv stand and if I wanted about 4 systems to 6 but I have 2 in it, 2 on the top of the stand (Switch/PS2)
For HDMI/modern consoles I just use the 4 ports I have on the TV but likely a HDMI splitter is probably a good idea. I'm pulling out power adapters though of those I am currently not using. I could use a HDMI splitter but don't see a need and can't have that many plugged in due to space.
Currently I have my Switch, Wii U and PS4 hooked up but would swap Xbox One X, PS3 and Wii U out (have those I don't have hooked up on my wardrobe top currently my Wii, PS3, Xbox One OG, Xbox One X and 360 Elite I think the 250GB that I got a 120GB later after the hard drive died and it still works no problem). Otherwise PS2/Wii too around the back of the TV.
Otherwise I have a splitter that family had lying around and use it for AV/Composite consoles (PS2/Wii/if I wanted to PS3 or Wii U but I usually have HDMI for both).
I use my Component for my PSP 2000 to the TV. I tried the Component cables I have for 360 and it's fine but I have HDMI for it usually.
Otherwise I sync my phone to the TV if I want to check things out but bigger or test the lag.
I think that sums it up. I would keep my smaller 32 inch 1080p for my PSP 2000 probably or phone syncing as it worked well there besides the YT/Netflix app.
Otherwise I have it on a simple tv stand and 1 TV, got my 32 inch in the garage right now.
The 3D TV 50 inch 1080p I don't mind for the modern consoles and have it plugged in.
I use a Roku box (otherwise I use my phone of course for better experiences if I feel the need) with it because family don't need it anymore and it runs as bad as the Wii U YT app (well YT on it even at 360p because I don't care for quality just the voices not the visuals so why waste bandwidth or compete with others for bandwidth) did but I don't care I'm using it from time to time (usually on and off but nowadays using it a bit more often and seeing it struggling with modern web standards as things do) and use old stuff I don't really care enough and keep it around if necessary I don't need high quality to care. |
