You don't hear statements like that about self esteem anymore thanks to emos.
You know, unless it's by emos themselves.

the video of the little girls dancing is horrendous.

They have amazing talent and should be applauded for that. But seriously, they are far too young to dance like that. Fuck, if i danced like that now, and im 22, id still feel slutty. i wonder how they felt having to do that..

I think this brings up something interesting about paedophilia. When people argue with paedophiles, if you can call it that, they usually mutter something along the lines of "you'd understand if you have kids/you'll understand when you have kids", or "would you want something so horrible to happen to your kids?".

But ironically, it seems the majority of child sexual abuse comes from the household. Having a lack of parental perspective doesn't seem to reduce paedophilia.

And in a case like this, where many people might yell the same thing at a paedophilia if it weren't the parents here doing this, people would say that parenting changes a person and the paedophiles are so far removed for child nurturing they "wouldn't understand until they were parents themselves".

In fact, I think if anything it can cloud and confuse the sexual morality of some people and make their children easy targets for them. They spend all their time around them raising them and are comfortable around them, and they lose inhibition to do something they might see as "sexual bonding" that the child does not want, they might think about as unthinkable with a stranger.

In a thread with a bunch of paedos, a person might remark that "like I'm going to listen to the opinion of a bunch of people without children themselves, come back when you have a son or daughter and then we'll talk".

But in this thread, we have a very inverse and lack of such a possibility. We have a bunch of people, without children, aghast at the viewpoint of those with children. As a person who vividly remembers being a child, and knowing how pushy children tend to be, I think that the children are at least half ignorant of the sexuality involved here, but you'd be surprised at how much they do "know" so to speak, but don't care. And want to be "cool", like they think this is. I actually get this as more of the idea of the kids, saying "this is just how dances are nowadays, do you want us to look dorky!" and the parents saying "please, girls...this really isn't a sort of dance I'm comfortable doing" and the kids said "pleeeeeeeeeease" until the parents went along with it.

Of course that's just speculation, but that's the situation I more easily imagine than the parents pressuring the children to do lewd dances in public. Children will cry and scream when they don't get to see a violent movie or game or whatever the parents is saying no to, and it's hard for a loving parent to stay firm in such distress. I makes you feel like the bad guy.

Children see this sort of thing on tv, think it's normal, and then pressure the . We who don't have children and who understandably don't like censorship, will always put the pressure on the parents saying that it's not the movies, it's the parents' job it's the parent's job, it's the parents' job. But being a parent is hard and there's a limit to how much you can shelter or stop your kids from. My parents couldn't stop me from not being a Christian, from listening to Industrial music, from looking at porn, and ect.

I just don't see this likely being the primary idea of the adults and parents involved here. I see it as the idea of the kids who want to be "cool" and don't know any better, for the most part at least. And the parents not being strong enough to say no.

Share with me your own hypothesis, if you will.
Caught myself, I almost misused theory again.

I really can't understand you, people. In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I mean, they dance good, and it doesn't matter what amount of clothing they are wearing, unless they are not completely naked.

So you would be fine with a 7 year old girl wearing something that a 16 17 year old would wear in public?

Moralfags eh? This is nothing compared to some other moralfags.

They are still in public though and no... This maybe worse then the street since only the people on the street at the time see it. This was on TV/ internet Where everyone can see it.
It's just not all that appropriate for a parent to let there 7 year old kid wear something like that and doing that kind of dance.

You know, this whole idea always came to me as stupid.

People go on about "what has the world come to?" Which is rather silly, I think. What WAS the world before now? How was it ever better in the past? What's so terrible about the world now that wasn't terrible for centuries? Why not just accept the world for what it is and just accept human nature for what it is?

I find this line of thought to be a big defining point in terms of people's depiction of things that they simply cannot conceive themselves. The world has always been the same as far as our basic human needs and psychology go and I don't think we'll ever change in that regard. So we really haven't come to anything that was drastically different than before othert than our advancement in technology and with this changes of our society altogether.

Yes, they are dancing and performing on a stage.
No, they are not walking in the streets wearing the clothes.
But you forgot that this performance would obviously be shown in the media to the public, where sex offenders, rapists, and pedophiles lurk.
They shouldn't wear victorian dresses but they should atleast wear normal clothing.
I mean, unless your idea of normal clothing is stripper clothing.

I'm not blaming the kids though. Even if they did pick those clothes on their own, it is up to the parents whether or not they wear it. Until anyone turns 18, they are under guardian control and whatever happens to them is the responsibility of the adult.
Therefore, what they wear and how they dance, even if it seems trivial, it falls into the parents' hands in the end.

*Sigh* Cute dance, but those outfits are way too revealing. They were really good (though something can be said about the wholesomeness of those dance moves as well) but their outfits take away from their classiness.

Perversion is only in the minds of someone who actually thought it was perverted. When I was little, I loved to do what those girls did too, it was FUN. These days, I'm just way too shy to dance and sing in public in cute outfits like I used to do. I guess growing up ruins one's ability to be fun and carefree. *sigh* I'm kinda jealous and yearning for my childhood days all of a sudden.

To a state of a lot less "sexualization" of children than it used to be.
People used to marry children that age.

Actually, some of the world is still resisting this cultural change.

You are kind of right. I mean most people don't form there own opinion and immediately started thinking "OMG what a pedophile will think". The question is why to you immediately start thinking of what that person will think? If pedophiles didn't exist will it be ok?
Anyway they did nothing more that what many women dancers do in music clips. Overreaction much!! Those dances are a little provocative and i understand if a grown up thinks they are not child dances but it's not exactly some great sin or the end of the world. If there parents let them do it, it's still fine. It's not exactly a bad evil thing.
If i am gonna give my time to help children i certainly wouldn't put them on the list. There are real horrors that children have to live through. Stop being shocked by this stupidity trying to prove how prudent you are and start getting shocked with some real evil shit.

I've actually I think stayed rather on the neutral side of this as far as a thread is concerned. Even though that's the last thing I should be doing as a person who defends lolicon.

The "keep it 2d" crowd is the majority and once something gets gets anywhere close to the real thing, the reaction is radically different and indeed looking at that video is radically different that watching your average Etna pictures and going "look at dat hawt lawli". I think it says something of many people who would otherwise "like lolicon" that they find the real thing or anything resembling it downright scary.

And aside from being just scary, the last thing they want to do is make themselves associated with the real thing when they're spent all their time talking about how being a lolicon isn't the same as paedo, and a glaring example of the scary difference is right in front of them.

Personally, there are probably some better things to denounce. I find it odd how in general towards women you would find that behavior "slutty" in women, and "gay" in men. I don't like the whole of the double standard here in general. I both do and don't have a problem with this in unusual ways. I don't think it's worse than starving children, that's indeed for sure.

Anyway, a person removing themselves from the personal disgust and their fast beating heart as they feel like they're edging too close to real paedophile material themselves, it shouldn't really truly matter if a person finds them attractive. So long as they aren't a danger to them. And for some reason people seem to act as if attraction is far too near to rape. Like once a person is attracted, suddenly they're a monster who has or will do the act. Furthermore it's funny how people typically see a picture of someone doing something like hugging a child, but if someone who is found to be a paedo does the same it's "how dare this...this creep touch a child in that way. That child can't give consent to that! Lock him up, kill him, get him away from that child he can't touch that child!". Lol?

Still, I'd hate to not look as outraged as everyone else in this thread.
