Don't u guys feel that Kevin penkin is a way better than hiroyuki Sawao . I have seen many aot fans and their shit talk.
Made in abyss has definitely best ost than aot. He in so underrated.

Yeah Kevin Penkin is one of the best composers I’ve ever heard. Attack on Titan has some good music but it’s nowhere near Made in Abyss’s level. I’d even put Naruto, Vinland Saga, Bleach, and Monogatari’s OSTs above AOT.

Their both great and personally I think that’s more than enough.

I personally find myself listening to the made in abyss soundtrack far more often (as it covers a wider range of moods and atmospheres), but that’s also partly because I feel like Sawano’s music feels designed to accompany action and hype (there isn’t really much chill bgm).

Is the OST better than AOT? Subjective, personally agreed.

Is mentioning “AOT fans and their shit talk” a useless remark made to soothe your pride, which only furthers the toxicity between fans? Definitely.

Going to have to agree with this. I do listen to MIB ost religiously but I wouldn’t put AOT behind MIB at all. Attack on Titan I feel has a huge list of variety since there has been so many seasons.

I love both composers equally if I’m being honest. Some of the best sounds I’ve heard in the past 10 years.

Sorry I have to bring her in the chat if we’re going to mention anything pre 2010

I love the Made in Abyss soundtrack, but that doesn't mean I'm going to consider it superior to other soundtracks.
It's not cool to be downgrading other works just to leave your favorite work as "superior".

Hiroyuki Sawano has more great soundtracks other than his work for AOT, 86 for example. Penkin and Sawano are two of my favorite composers though, both are amazing.

If I am going to have a take on the topic AOT only has 3 good songs and there the endings but I have only watched the first two seasons so take it with a grain of salt but I can say that Made in abyss’s ost is beautiful but for the show it fits perfectly but keep in mind that this are two completely different types
of shows

Ok I have listened to the AOT season 2-4s ost and it is objectively really good but I can’t say for sure if it’s better then the made in abyss ost case I have not yet watched the series so I am going to watch it and I will be back then

everyone's taste is different.
and AOT and MIA OST's are uncomparable.
AOT and other Sawano works are peak action soundtracks, Penkin is peak suspense, nature, otherworldy kind.
I listen to MIA soundtracks on repeat, but Sawano is still one of the best there is.

aot and mia have different themes and genres so I dont think its best to compare them. Now if Kevin produced the OST for an anime like AOT with the same genre and themes, thats a good basis to compare the two composers. Either way both are legendary
