I went to the official website, but my Japanese sucks - can anybody tell me the name of Kazura's friend featured in this episode? He's voiced by Anri Katsu, and I'd like to add him to Katsu-san's credits. Thank you! :D |

| After the previous episode's lameness, this was quite good. Kazura's character is interesting and I'm glad that we got to know more about him. The ending was shocking though~~ |

| Eh... it was OK, but I can't help but get the feeling it could have been better. As per almost every other episode, it feels a bit rushed, like they're trying to fit a little too much into a single episode, though this one doesn't suffer as bad as some of the others. Also, I feel they botched Kazura's development episode. It really could've been better if it had been more in-depth, and while the part with the foot scar was nicely done, it would've had a lot more impact if we had a better understanding of their relationship. If anything, I think this show could've used more than 13 episodes. If it had a runtime of 26 episodes, it could've been used to create considerably better breathing room and pacing. Whereas with this, it seems as though they're trying to cram everything they had planned into a very small space of time. It's a shame, because it had, and still has, potential to be a very good show, but it feels ruined by the limitation imposed on it. |

| This series has an incredible OST. The ending did indeed shock me, but that's life in 1930s China (and in many places of the world today). Cheap, dirty, and disposable. It's really not important who shot him. This episode, as far as I'm concerned, gave us enough development for Kazura. He says himself he's not one for ideological extremes, and I can see why. Get in too deep with a cause, and you will end up face-down in an alley bleeding your life out like his friend did. On a lighter note, I'm liking Fuuran's cute Chinese accent in her Japanese :-D Can't wait for the next episodes. I wonder, are the fansubbers going to do both versions of episode 7? (The recap, and the streamed one) |

| I'm still not too sure about this series yet. The first episode caught my attention, and the episode with the bomber was okay, but everything after that seems awfully slow. Here's hoping it picks up soon. |

| I'm genuinely confused. Maybe it's because i was nodding off, but what was this episode supposed to do? They introduce some random character from his past to show what? I don't think we've been exposed to Nishio before, so this all felt so trite. And not a single interaction had any context. It was just Kazura doing things that felt totally out of character, and then Nishio gets shot. It felt like it was trying to hard to be like some quaint Parisian film about a woman caught between two men, except there was really no justification for anything that we saw. I'm very puzzled. |
| Lol, almost forgot that I was watching this. Anyways, OK episode. I felt that this episode definitely could have been better if we actually cared about Nishio. He just felt like he popped out of the blue. I think for me, some parts of the anime is a little more understandable because I know my bit of Chinese history. The part about the whole KMT vs. CCP part means a lot to all the Chinese who know their history about that era. |

| It's good to see on Kazura's character development but it's confusing how he and Nishio met which sparks interests in me. I could guess about Kazura's and Nishio's foot scar like what Kazura said to Ai-Lin (?) that Nishio creating the wound is a calculated move by Nishio. But how they got the scar? I hope they'll tie the loose end in later episodes. Like others here, I agree with the OSTs. OP, ED, and background music and sounds are noteworthy. Watching this anime, from art, sound, story to animation, is worthwhile. I just hope it continues to deliver till the end. Hmm, I have a high hope for this show. |

| Kind of confusing, but I don't know, this show keeps me wanting more. It was pretty random but it had Kazura, which I think, is pretty hot. That is a huge bonus. I just hope there'll be a bit more story soon although I probably won't care either way 'cause I'll watch it anyway. |

| Actually agree, really like the OST for this series, it isn't the rather common kind of just hyped up background music that you might also find accompanying some random jrpg or something . . . Anyways, I really thought that Nishio or w/e would have lived and made Kazura really regret not doing more than just watching him walk by, but I guess you don't F with w/e organization killed him. |

| The bad foreign language from the main cast is actually more realistic to me. They pretty much have to know 6 or 7 other languages, the words are right but the flow is off, sounds like every foreign tourist in the world to me. I wonder did Nishio remember him or not... |
