imma go out on a limb here and say something mildly controversial.. the cell saga/cell games and gohans ssj2 transformation is peak dragon ball. not only did gohan peak then but so did the whole series lol.

Imma go out on a limb here and say something mildly controversial.... buu saga was actually really good. Seeing buu develop all the new forms and losing ally after ally was really intense and badass. The ending was also pretty satisfying

android/cell was the most interesting story, but the namek/frieza was the most revolutionary and epic.

was and will forever will be the android saga. Had the most interesting characters, had the best character development, has the best fights, and the best overall story. Dragon Ball should've ended there man but ya know money.

To be fair, money is the only reason Android arc exists at first place. DBZ would have finished in Freezer.

Yeah but I'm saying the reason why it continued is because of the potential of receiving even more and more money with more shows which would sell more manga. The problem with this is that this becomes greed and then the quality of the show tends to go down bc "who cares we're making money let's just use the property for it's name now and put out whatever"

My pick is Frieza saga, in terms of writing it is more consistent and delivered some of the best shonen fights ever imo. But I really wasn't expecting Cell saga to be so high up, a bit weird, but I ain't complaining.

A no-brainer: the Namek/Frieza arc, because it was both the most important/interesting in the story/universe and the most entertaining/exciting to see of all.

I personally loved the Saiyan Saga the best. The story still felt like the og Dragon Ball. Nothing was too crazy yet and the story and fights were really interesting and well paced. It also had a great mix of comedy and seriousness in it. I love all the arcs though. Frieza saga was a bit of a drag but the comedy and the seriousness about Frieza being super powerful was pretty menacing. I wouldn't say as much as in the Saiyan saga with the Saiyan's but this did a really good job showing that there some things you shouldn't mess with. Super Saiyan was sick too. Cell Saga I love because of Goku's sacrifice and passing the torch stuff. I also like Time travel a lot. Buu saga though is my least favorite. Though when rewatching it after seeing Super for some reason you get more appreciation towards it (I rewatched it via dbz Kai)but it's overall not as interesting as the other arcs especially the villain. I absolutely loved the final battle with the Genki Dama and Vegeta's speech but besides big moments like that, the Buu saga just didn't cut it as good. It's still great and the comedy is great, but I felt like what should've been an epilogue was more of Dragon Ball fans pushing Toriyama for a more complete and happy ending with everyone alive. I think the Cell saga was a great ending even if they could've made more epilogue for it to wrap up better. I would've honestly loved if the Buu Saga was a true epilogue. 7 Years later, a tournament is being held and Goku gets to come back for one day. Instead of a big bad guy showing up, it could be a more slice of life comedy and Goku can fight Vegeta at the final fight. It would wrap up well and Vegeta could still have his speech or something and his character could be finished. If they went that simple route then it would obviously be much shorter and much more rewarding even though there will probably be a lot of fan service driving it. It would be like a bonus arc that lets us know that these characters and Earth is forever safe. And of course Goku will stay dead and go to heaven after his day is up. Well I guess that's just fan fic at this point, but that would've been much better. Either way I love all of the arcs in Dragon Ball. There's just something about this show that you just can't hate.

Id say Frieza saga and the reson being it wasn't as pridictable like the other arcs it had that high stakes feeling making it the most intense arc in dbz imo

I would say A tie b/w cell saga and Frieza saga both are absolutely amazing and I can't differentiate between them

Even tho Buu arc ranked lower it did introduce some new interesting ideas to the series like Ssj3, Vegito and the idea of fusion, and Gohan ‘s potential unleashed form. It may have not been the strongest arc on the series but it still wasn’t a bad way to end Z.

Cell saga was the most exciting for me. I also think Cell (Perfect Cell) has the best design of any villain I've seen in an anime, as well as the most interesting villain in DBZ.
