A bit of a slow paced episode again. I like Haru's overall positive energy but he still got a lot to learn. He and his team also got to witness two other teams playing each other, and realizes what they need to do to improve.

No joke though, some of the shots from this episode looked superhuman.

All I can just say is that Haru broke, after losing to his idol Tennouji. Sakaki isn't wrong to say that practice should resume even without Haru, but losing him as a teammate will affect the Koyo School's team morale, especially one that's of familial relations.

Toi checking in on Haru is essential, but it's Haru himself whom will choose to get out of his rut of seeing his abandoned father's shadow in Tennouji. Sakaki is the same, and being angry of Haru whom is making light of futsal, he has no choice since he's the closest to him.

If there is a positive, Haru and Sakaki's relationship turned for the better, though the resolution is by cliché standards. With that, the entire Koyo School team is back together to watch repeat champions Okazan vs. Adalbert just for a moment.

Try hard boys, you're gonna need it.

Things are looking better, I guess. I’ve noticed that this show becomes much more enjoyable in the moments where Sakaki is out of the picture. His character desperately needs a backstory or two or he’ll really end up giving me the impression of how NOT to write a Tobio Kageyama-esque character in sports anime.

The fanservice is not in the level I expect. Considering that Ryman's club has better fanservice even though it doesn't need to since it's already high quality sports anime, Futsal Boys needs to step up its game.

Sakaki it’s simply a tsundere.

And if I see Haru’s father, it’s on sight 👊🏼

We knew damn well that he wouldn’t quit futsal

Only took 1 episode to showcase Haru's backstory and the resolution for his conflict, it felt natural pacing-wise but damn was it so predictable that made it boring to watch

Okazan is now top of the pecking order that we're seeing rn. Next episode seems to introduce another new team
