| Hathaway‘s flash is the only correct answer. Not only a good Gundam Movie, but a genuinely well written, directed and animated piece of fiction. It‘s also refreshing to see a „mature“ anime for once, that actually is mature and not some cringekino. Good shit. For TV anime there is nothing worth mentioning. Some fun shows here and there, but they were are all ultimately pretty forgettable. I mean, I couldn’t even name you any shows from 2 seasons ago… |

Hataraku Saibou Black Honorable mentions: Banished from the Hero's Party I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside, Shadows House, Super Cub, The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace, Heike Monogatari, Don't Toy with Me Miss Nagatoro, and Odd Taxi. If I could include or chose to include older (pre-2021) series which continued with new seasons then it would likely read this way instead: 1.) Fruits Basket 2019 reboot season 3 (Fruits Basket: The Final) 2.) Sonny Boy 3.) Mars Red And that's even with largely preferring the first two seasons to it (mainly due to length and pacing issues)! |
