Fuji TV announced on Thursday that its late night programming block +Ultra entered a partnership with streaming platform Crunchyroll and planning and advertising company Slow Curve for new anime projects.

The three companies will proceed with the joint development after April 2022. The first two titles in the lineup are an original anime titled Estab Life—helmed by Gorou Taniguchi (Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch, Planetes), and a new collaboration between Polygon Pictures and manga creator Tsutomu Nihei (Sidonia no Kishi, Blame!).

Fuji TV unveiled +Ultra in March 2018 with the aim of producing high-quality anime series for the global audience, contrasting noitaminA's largely domestic audience. The programming block began with Ingress the Animation in Fall 2018. Some notable titles aired in the block include Carole & Tuesday, Beastars, BNA, and Great Pretender.

Seems like a natural collaboration for several reasons. I hope they retroactively include Ex-Arm in their catalogue or they will be lacking, though.

Not sure about this though... hm, we'll see...
"In the past few months since we met, I've shared many memories with Nagato. Though I've also shared memories with Haruhi, Asahina-san and Koizumi, I found that I've experienced more events with Nagato in particular. In fact, every situation seems to involve her. I might as well mention this, she's probably the only person to cause the bell within me to shake the most vigorously..." ~ Kyon, TMOSH

Sounds like an interesting collab, this. Definitely going to keep an eye on it, even though a lot of these as of late have been average-to-fine at best.

Probably because some of them are trying to pander to western tastes.
