My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected (light novel)
| So months ago the OVA was announced with a new project called ''Ketsu''. Today in Oregairu's 10th anniversary talkshow, it was revealed that ''Ketsu'' will be an alternative route for Yui. Source: https://twitter.com/RanobeSugoi/status/1405518793938391042 For me, Yui was best girl but this doesn't feel right. To be honest, Yukino and Hachiman make the better couple. I'm not a big fan on making different routes for each girl, so maybe that's my issue. The canon route was amazing, the confession, the date, the 'I love you', but here we are, with an alternative story- What's your thoughts on the new project? |

| Yeah it adapts the Shin novels, and if you've never read the Shin volumes then all you need to know is that they were written terribly. They were a blatant cashgrab based on the popularity of the franchise. Why are they bad? They undo all character development that you got over the previous 14 volumes, it's just really lazy and awful writing. And most people in the community pretend that the Shin volumes don't exist because it leaves a terrible aftertaste after going through such a well crafted novel. So yeah, good for making money, but terrible lazy writing that most people won't like, and that's not based on Yui or Yukino camp, it doesn't do any justice to Yui either, literally both sides hate the Shin volumes, they're just not good. |

| Yui was “best girl” because the studio played favorites with her, removing practically every other moment of Yukino in the spotlight. Anyone that has read the LN would tell you the same. Although, if she is your “favorite girl” then it’s all good there’s nothing wrong with that. If Ketsu is the adaptation of ANOTHER then it’s not exactly Yui’s route since it’s more like an open ending. Yui doesn’t win there either. Maybe Anime original to super help her? I mean since Feels studio already puts all their budget in Yui, if they get the author’s approval... Unless they decide to adapt the VN’s ending? Then again, if they do that, they might as well adapt every route in the game. A little disappointed since I was expecting the OVA to adapt Oregairu Shin which it may no longer be the case because that it’s still Yukino’s victory so if the new project is about Yui the Special could be a preview of that whole series. |

Anyone that has read the LN would tell you the same. yeah, never understood why they gave her so much screentime if she would lose. yukino felt as a side character last season. yui was my fav but i like yukino and iroha too, so it didn't really matter to me who won or not. |

| Great news for Yui fans. Yukino fans in full on meltdown mode. I don't think the news confirmed a new anime or new OVA. Ketsu is a new LN series, yui route it seems. Shin is the OVA we are getting. That's how I read the news anyways. |

| It may sound rude… No, it will sound rude, but they really should stop fucking the corpse already! If you’re done with the series, then don’t come back to it. What’s up with making all of these alternative roots, plots and stuff? The ending was satisfying enough to put an end to this story; well, maybe add some more relationship development moments, happening between the hero and the heroine after they’re started dating, would be a nice addition, but changing an ending of an already finished storyline on purpose is something that oversteps my comprehension. Anyways, if there will be an extra anime adaption, related to this series, I’ll watch it regardless. |
