| Damsels/male damsels (dunno the term lmao) in distress. Dear fucking christ. I either enter rage mode when the character is on (for shows I don't want to drop), or I insta-drop an anime when it features these pieces of shit. Do your own saving instead of crying and wailing and whining and waiting for a man to save you, lady. Get off your ass and do something useful. Overly dense MCs. SOMETIMES it's funny if it's done satirically or something, but 99.99% of the time I just want to pass that dense MC through a cheese grater and watch them wail painfully as their skin is scraped off slowly but carefully. So much hatred. Misplaced comedy in the middle of a serious scene/serious moment/ serious story. This is one flaw that Kimetsu no Yaiba had, actually - awkward misplaced humor in the middle of a serious scene takes away from the grave feeling that the scene is supposed to invoke. But it isn't half as bad as Enen no Shouboutai - I am so close to dropping that series because of all the HORRIBLY misplaced, unfunny, stupid 12 year old boy going through puberty humor that that shit keeps spitting out. This is pretty much all that I can think of off the top of my head because they're the top reasons something in an anime sets me off. Will probably add more later if I can think of them. |

| Probably the utter Mary Sue character taking entire spotlight. Symphogear, Bofuri, SAO, you name it. But one thing that can entirely ruin whole anime all by itself is definetely completely incompressible clusterfuck of a rushed story. Exact reason why Index 3 failed horribly as well as Fairy Gone and Rewrite. |

| Personally, I think a nonsensical story is even worse than a bad story. Even a bad story can have coherence and a, relatively, satisfying ending. Shows that don't give a fuck about telling a story that makes sense, though, really grind my gears. |
