Exciting chapter that takes palace intrigue and ranking games to a higher level. Something is solved, but new secrets are revealed. I am very curious to see what happens next.

Great chapter as always. However, I don't quite get how she figured that the metal fit will break, can someone explain this to me plz?

@Danver26 Like she said the metal fit is place near fire. When metal is near a fire it will start to expand. That will cause the screw hole loose and so it's not stable to hold heavy object.

Oh my, this chapter just tied everything together it seems. So all the events of the past weeks were part of a plan to assassinate Jinshi, and I believe it would be by none other than Maomao's blood father.

The design flaw was really there and after getting a beating trying to get into the temple (or at least I think it was a temple) she was able to get in just in time and get Jinshi out of the way of the massive falling metal object which would have instantly killed him on impact.

Maomao ended up getting quite seriously injured there, and now needs stitches on her leg.

Now that was quite the intense chapter, and honestly my favourite so far! What a cliffhanger there...
