| I would not consider it a yuri manga yet, but it is possible the story could go down that path. The girls don't talk about each other in a "just friends" kinda way, but you never know if it's just bait until the end. Most of the illegal manga sites gave it the shoujo ai tag, but I would not be surprised if the story doesn't go all the way. |

| Haven't read the manga but just because a work doesn't have the yuri tag doesn't mean it doesn't involve a homosexual couple, just that it's not the focus of the work. The recommended manga for this is all GL so I imagine there is at least some homoerotic subtext going on. |

| I'm 23 chapters in, and I just found out that the author said that it's NOT YURI and about the friendship between girls. I was completely blindsided by that. This is yuri whether the author likes it or not. But don't expect anything that "even a crazy person would consider yuri". No kissing, no confession of love, no side characters saying "you're basically a couple" and obviously no sex. So it's Yuri as much as those strict rules will allow. |

Yuri that the author designed means the author probably lost or something. Even Shoujo Ai terms hardly hit the genre, There's something like Yuru Yuri/Machikado that doesn't involve Love/Kissing/Confession aside from awkward comedy and subtext that can't really be taken too seriously. This one is mostly Drama over friendship which turns into Angst. GL Subtext exist but we hardly get these character progress due the Drama I mentioned. |
| It absolutely comes off as a yuri to me, and the western release is even being marketed as such. It's not as overt as something like Girl Friends or Bloom Into You, but the leads are pretty clearly developing crushes on each other. By the way, "shoujo ai" is pedophilia. MAL really needs to drop that tag. |
