Doubt it since Pokemon has issues with showing gay characters on the show. I can see why you'd think that though, I like to think of it as a very friendly friendship:   |

| Looks like pretty standard bonding between same sex friends in pre-adolescence. They're not even of middle school age, it might be weird for the show to start exploring insecurities its characters(by proxy its viewers) have yet to develop. |

| He’s just awkward since Ash is his first male friend and he doesn’t know how to handle it pretty much. Though if he turned out gay, I would have no problem with that, but highly doubt Pokémon will take that route. Koharu x Gou will likely be a thing in the future though. |

| He could be if by some reason we got a timeskip that made the show a bit more mature. I just feels weird for him to be with their current age and Current Target Demographic. Right now he just feels like an afeminate dude or a character who would grow uip to be a Classic Bishonen. |

| i wouldn't have any problem if it was the case, but well considering the characters age, and the public the anime is targeting i doubt they would go to that route. |

Pokemon has a hard time showing LGBTQ people, especially since the audience (like 7-11-year-olds) won't really care. If any of the characters are lgbtq it's probably just going to be confirmed by someone who works with pokemon saying "Yeah" to someones headcanon. Also, pokemon is a non sexual world so go crazy with the headcanons because pokemon won't care and it won't do anything to the series. IF this is the last series or the next ones are not important then anyone can say Gou is gay because it's over. Go is clearly a transgender. |
