Can we all agree that Berserk needs a better anime adaptation that does the manga justice? How do we get the ball rolling on this?

Move to Japan where it matters and lobby for it or become filthy rich to do it yourself.

First adaptation was decent. Even with that “ending”

Rosine chapters were skipped in the new adaptations because those were not fit for TV. L

I don't think so or maybe you can try ask Elon Musk if he's willing to fund it.

I saw something about him wanting too. Netflix does need to recover from butchering Eva. Maybe we can get them to do it anyways.

No. Half of that content wouldn't make air anyway and handing the rights to Netflix is just dumb.

How did Netflix butcher Eva? Just curious.

Yes, if Wit Studio or David Production decides to pick it up for some reason. Because at the end of the day, they're making it for money, but A LOT of stuff in Berserk can't be showed on TV.

Why I said Wit Studio and David Production:
They have made large scale projects that were previously thought to be "impossible to adapt" and made them amazing, e.g. Attack on Titan, and JoJo's. Wit's also adapting Vinland Saga, another one of those "impossible to adapt" mangas and it looks fucking amazing from the trailer.

Any adaptation of Berserk, no matter how technically proficient, would disappoint a significant portion of its fans through its style alone. There are way too many subgroups that get completely different ideas of what Berserk is supposed to be like, ideas that are often diametrically opposed in contradiction. I can even attest to this personally, as this commonly-circulated idea of giving Berserk to the Netflix clowns that made Castlevania like 97 fan types rave about sounds absolutely detestable to me.
Just take a look at existing adaptations. Although I would disagree, many do think the 97 watercolor picturebook does justice to the manga. On the other hand, I think the GA movies would have been entirely perfect if not for the outrageously cut content. These differences in opinion would change very little if you threw money at either of the two. And these short, uncommitted and experimental adaptations might continue here and there, and they may or may not be good, depending on your tastes. But they really are minor -- let's not pretend they are anything but side-dishes for the actual series.

With that said and the inevitable split opinions put aside, I doubt there's much hope in expecting the complete, to-the-letter adaptation of Berserk that so many dream about to happen in the first place, regardless of who it's bound to disappoint. By that, I mean an adaptation with even the lightest pretension of being driving force/substitute for the manga rather than feeding cash-in fanservice to its pre-existing readers.
For one, the timing would be terrible for the foreseeable future. Clangserk still lingers on as a meme and would drag down the popularity of a hypothetical series through sheer negative association before it was even out. The manga releases irregularly and the series already reaches just about everyone that would be interested, so there is not much momentum for profitable retention or opportunity for manga advertising. And, of course, the manga is not finished, so you can't even quite get the benefits of post-mortem adaptations that enjoy thematic cohesion due to knowing the complete picture beforehand.

They re-dubbed it quite terribly among a few other things.

Well, guess I've been enlightened. Holy shit, way to ruin the series. I feel bad for anyone who's first experience with Eva is on Netflix... >_>

Give it to WIT with a 2 year production schedule with a 20+ episode season (for the Golden Age) directed by Araki and the Vinland Saga guy.

Done.

Absolutely. They made One Punch Man Season 2 truly a masterpiece, and somehow, with every season of Food Wars, it just keeps getting better and better.

It's called Berserk 1997, or as MAL "lovingly" refers to it as, Kenpuu Denki Berserk.

steel ball run is the most anticipated jojo part, if they manage to make that great as possible in future then they can do that with berserk as well and part 7 is seinen like berserk too but the chances of that to happen is really low.
