A Certain Magical Index (light novel)
| At the moment I have started watching A Certain Magical Index, but I have only watched six episodes (the first arc) so far. I don't thinks it's a bad anime, but it hasn't really perked my interests. The main character, Touma, seems especially generic with all of his "Let's have a happy ending talk". I just want to know if we get good character development later on (or the other characters make up for it) and if it gets more interesting. Basically, is it worth the watch. Thank you!~ |
| I have the same question, although I haven't started watching yet. I wanted to but it just seems too generic and too long to get to the good part if there is any. There is a video Gigguk made on this anime, maybe it'll help with your doubts and overall it does sound like something interesting but still, I can't get myself around it yet. Would be really nice to see other opinions. |

| I haven't watched Index, but I know Railgun is basically a spinoff of it, and is reasonably well-regarded in its own right. It can be enjoyed without Index, so if you're interested in the setting but don't feel impressed by this story, you can try watching Railgun first. |

Misaka Mikoto (≖‿≖)✧ Index is far too rushed to make any sense of it honestly, especially season 3. But if you’re going to watch Railgun (and Accelerator), you might well just binge Index. It’s the main storyline of the series, after all. |

| DEFINITELY keep watching at least until the Accelerator arc. That's the peak of the first season and possibly the series overall. If you don't like that arc then I guess you should watch something else. Maybe give Railgun a try if you liked Misaka. |

| Thanks for all of your opinions! Although I didn't see much of Misaka in the Index arc, she seemed like a cool character so I might go ahead and watch Railgun for now. I'll probably go back to Index too though because everyone is saying that Accelerator is a great character. |
