I liked seeing Ash's Pokemon interact and get some more take on their personalities. I didn't watch it in English so I can't comment on the punny-ness, I didn't notice any in my subbed version. Poor Bulbasaur goes straight to thinking he's abandoned. I like how Bulbasaur is the one who thought that and not Charmander. I want to see more pokemon-interation!
I can't believe I completely forgot they were machines, since I was a kid. I knew it was something, but didn't even suspect that, lol. I guess that WOULD explain why Zapdos and Moltres made such pointless appearances.

It's 'cause Bulbasaur never trusted humans except that girl where they met him, and he may not entirely trust Ash yet. (I wouldn't... abandoning Butterfree twice! hmph)
But Charmander is just overly trusting to begin with. Believing Damien would come back to get him, when he was already a complete jerk.
