| Sometimes I wonder if certain anime are going to end, ever. Most anime come and with relative ease, in fact anime are getting increasingly short as time passes. On the other hand anime like one piece, dragon ball, detective conan, and naruto, seem to have set themselves into the anime industry so well that no matter how much time passes they still dish out episodes without pause, dragon ball and naruto have many different iterations but they are all distinctly part of their respective franchises. Let's not forget the horrible spinoiffs, sure they sucked but they still belong to their franchises. So by that logic is there such a thing as an endless anime? |

| One Piece's end is in sight but there's still another 10 years of it, at least. I don't think it's anything like Naruto and DBZ in the way they drag things out. Sure, Oda may slow down the pacing here or there but it's because he really likes to focus on world-building which imo, is the best thing about One Piece. Now the anime, that's something else entirely. |

| Because of world building. Some anime like One Piece establish that very early on, hence why it's "endless". |

| Episodic anime can be endless, series like Doraemon and Sazae-san. There is always an end to story progression based series like One Piece or Naruto. Unless it is Pokemon that recycles the same idea in an endless loop. |
| I really hope the world doesn't end before Detective Conan does. It's a scary possibility. |
