| For me it was Steins;Gate. A friend had shown me 3 of my current favorites when I first developed an interest in anime, and that's what got me to start seeking it on my own. Of those 3, Steins;Gate is the only one I've had the chance to re-watch (I've changed ratings systems since then and it irks me to have highly rated stuff that I never watched with my current system in mind). I've since adjusted it to a 9.5, which rounds to a 9 for me here on MAL. Still on my favorites though. |
| Baccano! the characters, the storytelling the opening and the way eveything ties up in the last episode we're all very fantastic. And unlike other shows that has the same/similar storytelling formula, this series never got boring nor convoluted, its just pure entertainment right from the get-go. And also Monster for my second 10/10, just had to mention it because of it's really amazing story and is a must-watch anime for anyone who is a fan of mystery/thriller. |

| The earliest one I watched/loved all of was the original fruits basket, one of the first animes I watched around 2006. Love it so much, the new one is amazing as well and happy I can kind of watch it all over again even tho this season is more canon to the manga. |

| My first 10 was "your lie in April". Having a little experience with semi-romantic shows I was thinking it is just another high-school romance/slapstick comedy. However, once it went serious, I could not stop watching. I watched all of it without interruption and sleeping and even after several months I still remember the story (I never rewatch movies and anime). Therefore, I would consider giving 10 only to anime I would never forget since then. |
| Based on release date, mine goes to Saint Seiya. Still epic in every way even after decades for me. Just a minus during Poseidon but it doesn't downrate the rest. |

| Teggen Toppa Gurren Lagann was the first 10 that I had given something. I initially gave it a 9 because I had the idea of "10 belongs to the perfect anime" but once I dropped that idea, I immediately gave it a 10. There may be a little bit of bias considering it was my first anime but it is still my second favorite anime only to be beaten by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. |

| Steins;Gate. Time travel is pretty much bullshit in just about every story that revolves around it, but I just couldn't bring myself to hate this story and characters. |

| Koi Kaze, but it was actually the first anime series I ever watched in full aside from films (like those from Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki). Other than that, I had maybe seen 60 episodes of Pokemon as a kid, like five episodes of Dragonball Z, and that's it. However, it still remains 10/10 for me and my second favorite series to date, so it's withstood and I don't see it being unseated anytime soon. Dropping from second place is plausible but highly unlikely. The 10/10 score going down is impossible for me. |
