| Pretty much all under-recommended, in my opinion. Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku- 7.15 I think a lot of people were unhappy with this anime, and I admit it's far from perfect. I was able to empathize well with the characters, and I couldn't guess what would happen next. I thought it managed to be a great thriller. A lot of people also compare it to Madoka Magica (calling it inferior to Madoka, of course), but all they really have in common is the dark magical girl theme. Ikusei Keikaku is a death match story, Madoka is not. The animation could have been better, but that doesn't bother me that much usually. AKB0048- 7.52 I think most people spring for Love Live! and The Idolm@ster when they are looking for idol anime, but AKB0048 is also a fantastic idol anime with a more interesting plot (in my opinion). All of these idol anime are fantastic, but AKB0048 is the only one with a plot that doesn't revolve around simply becoming an idol (while still revolving heavily around idols), so it's unique in this aspect. Selector Infected WIXOSS- 7.38 Dark, thriller card game. Not sure what else to say about it other than I rarely hear anyone talk about it, hardly any figures were made for it, and I think it deserves a higher score. Obviously it's all opinion. Also, I noticed you have Selector Spread WIXOSS on your Plan To Watch list. Make sure you watch Infected before Spread lol. I'm sure plenty of people think these are crap, but in my circles I consider them to be hidden gems! |
| This thread seems like it might end up interesting. I'll have to keep an eye on it, but first, putting my two cents into the mix. Chronicles of the Going Home Club. This is pretty much my go-to underrated recommendation. It parodies club anime, but even more notably is how it actively parodies its own development and unpopularity. I second Gakkougurashi. Unfortunately I got spoilers before I went in, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Selector Infected WIXOSS. It had its fair share of problems, as well as a walking plot-hole, but oddly enough, I still like it. This Art Club Has a Problem. Okay, I haven't watched this one since it aired, and I've changed a lot since then, so take this one with a grain of salt. I plan on revisiting it at a later date to see if my prior impression of the series holds up. |

| Qualidia Code is awesome from the last scene of the 4th episode,unfortunately most people dropped it after the 1st episode Schwarzesmarken-quite honestly idk why it only has a 6.9 rating,it's pretty good despite the flaws and no matter what people say,you don't need to be familiar with the Muv-Luv franchise to understand the plot Also,I haven't seen anyone mention Arakawa Under the Bridge for a long time,it used to be everywhere a while back |

| +Kurenai The voice actors for this show were Sawashiro Miyuki (playing the boy Shinkarou) and Aoi Yuuki in one of her first roles as little Murasaki-chan. Director Matsuo Kou recorded the dialogue first, a more expensive production method, but one that elicited spontaneous and realistic interactions among the seiyuu. The three-way conversation in episode three is stunningly directed. I'll also suggest the currently airing Pincess Principal, another stylish show with cute girls having adventures from Studio 3Hz, the creators of Flip Flappers. I'm sad there are only three episodes left. |

Princess Principal has not been getting much play, and it is nearly complete. It's underrated in the sense that it deserves more attention than I see it getting. Partly that's because it's carried on Amazon. It's not as good as Made in Abyss, also on Amazon, but PP is another show from Studio 3Hz that seems to be falling through the cracks like their Flip Flappers did. |

| Dansai bunri no crime edge. People treat it like total shit just for having fetish material. And while it can be pretty awkward to watch there isn't any over-the-top gross fetish content and it isn't even the whole focus of the show. But then shows that have in your face panty shots and little to no actual plot get rated better. |
