I don't read the manga but I see this ship being mentionned more often like are they likely to be an actual thing in the manga or something? Is it just friendship? Is it just shippers being shippers?
I don't want spoilers or at least not related to the story.

From reading the manga, I assume its just shippers being shippers by the most smallest interactions they share.

As a manga reader, Eren & Krista are just friends which they evolve to a much bigger part from the story as it advances. Both are just friends not much.

I think you guys a missing the big picture here, obviously they are not lovers since the last time we saw them, but Isayama has build up their relationship to open up that possibility, not only that, their past intertwines with each other.

Even if it's just small interactions I think Eren has a nice way with Krista. I don't mind if they actually end up together, but it might come as a (salty)surpise to most...especially eremika shippers.

There aren't any interactions but they still have close relationship. There was exactly in some of the latest chapters (89 or 90, I think), Eren's thoughts show consideration for Krista.

the characterization of those two and the way the arc is set up is essentially the author ship baiting us. I don't think this will be a ship, but i won't deny it's merits.

So I've read the entire thing and there isn't anything more than friendship if you ask me. I feel like they interact with each other because it was relevant to the plot if I make any sense
