The backgrounds in this were absolutely beautiful and it a fantastic way to showcase this era. Unfortunately the character designs themselves didn't really fit the show very well in my opinion.

The mc is cool but all of the other characters are boring and I couldn't care less about them.
This show was way too slow for its own good.

Most of the stories simply weren't interesting at all.

I'm giving this a 2/10 because while it is such a well put together representation of this time period, the overall show was boring a shit. The ending is especially insulting when it tries to be emotional, like who gives a fuck.

Great show. This episode wasn't the best compared to previous ones but still a nice ending.

First four episodes were pretty rocky with the 2nd episode being the only one I found subpar.

However from episode 5 and onward, the stories were pretty damn top notch. I loved the Otomatsu episode and the Wasuke episode most of all. I think those two episodes are perfect.

Chugo episode was very funny and Zenpachi episode was also funny as well as surprisingly engaging in a serious way.

4/5 for the episode. 8/10 for the anime.

Woah pretty sad end, really thought Matatoro and Omasa were gonna end together after Matataro countered that stab

Must say this was a pretty good samurai anime, the only thing that would have made it better was some great underlying plotline that would lead to a good final because this was episodic type of anime

Quite the opposite of ep 1. It has been awhile since I wanted an anime to have another season so much. I thought there would be at least one ep on Ojun's father case.

What a great series no bs just wonderful characters and exposition.
