Doraemon definitely. Heck, it even worked for me ;p. Its story is still fresh imo even for next couple of years.

What ever they wanted too, not gonna dictate to my kids what they can and cannot watch.

Or maybe I'll make them Mobile Suit Gundam, and be like , "this what happens to you when you start being a whiny little bitch." *SLAP!*

It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

I'll let my kids to watch anything they want accept "Yaoi and Yuri"and horror anime, if they really want to watch that they need their mommy's approval.... they don't need to be in my bad habits. ._."

I would though let them watch K-ON! for high school experience, and Kobato. :)

I'd show them the first few seasons of Pokemon, that anime has an addictive quality unbeknownst to man and it'll keep them (and me) entertained for long enough, however I think I would end up showing them DBZ and things too. I'd want them to start where I did, begging my mother to buy me a pikachu.

And besides, they're easy to get my hands on and they won't have to read the subtitles, I'll probably start introducing them to gorier, stranger anime when they're ten or so, give them the good stuff when they hit twelve.

I'd teach them that the "cartoons" are the only thing still on TV that isn't a pile of shite.

Elfen Lied or maybe Higurashi. I want my daughter to be a yandere.

But really, I would like to show them Aria, Nanoha or something.
Zetsubou Shi- I'm in despair~ Me being such a horrible fan in a world filled with so many anime and cool japanese internet meme-things, not to mention games, ect. has left me in despair!~

Well this is assuming my child has already watched all the Classic Disney films and American animation that I find to be a necessity. So lots of Winnie the Pooh and Chip'N Dale Rescue Rangers.
I'd start them off on Hayao Mizayaki films. I honestly wouldn't get them into to much anime until their around 10 or 11. And even then the nothing to overwhelming. Some stuff like Dragonball Z or Gundam Wing might be fun.

Honestly, stuff comparable to the Disney classics and Warner Bros. (Like the Brave Little Toaster). As much hand drawn animation as possible. And just kind of follow a similiar pattern on how I watched anime (If there even into it).

Maybe Voltron. I like that. Haha I'll be starting off with dubs too.

I second making them watch Clannad XD. I'll start them off with some lighter, easier stuff to get them used to anime, then hit them with it though. But dang it, one way or another they are watching it. Then we shall all cry as a family XD. Might skip over the scene in the gym storage closet though. Till they're older at least.

Dragon ball or Yu-gi-oh if it's a boy.

Shugo Chara or Ghibli if it's a girl (which I'm hoping for).

All ghibli films.
Hamtaro (hells yeah!)
Cardcaptor Sakura
Tbh, there isn't much I wouldn't let my kids watch if they were interested. The most violence I'd probably let them see is at the shonen level though, don't want them to get too awesome too quickly.

I'd let them watch it if it were on morning TV LOL.

Let them find their own anime.
Don't want to push anything onto them.
If they want to like it they can.

I would nonchalantly watch anime in my room, then let them join in on whatever might catch their eye, as long as it weren't hentai.

I wouldn't let them watch hentai for sure! Nor Ecchi, I would let them watch Doraemon, or something close to it. Cruel, aren't I?

Ultimate Girls, Moonlight Lady, Bible Black, Choisuji, Koihime Musou, To-LOVE-Ru
just kidding, that would be a bah-stirred thing to do!!!

I would just let them choose on their own.
maybe they don't even like anime.
they will see me watch it and decide if its right for them.
if it is I will guide them but not push them.

i would say Angelic Layer.
it's pretty light hearted, a little drama in certain parts, great characters with interesting stories to tell, and then there's the cool factor of the characters playing the game of Angelic Layer ;)

If I have a boy, he's gonna grow up with Gurren Lagann and KHR
If I have a girl, maybe Perfect Girl Evolution or Totoro.
Gintama and Azumanga Daioh regardless.

Elfen Lied. :)

Nah, I don't want children, but if I did have kids I'd show them one of the sweet Ghibli films. Totoro, Kiki's delivery service, Ponyo... :D Something that'd preserve their innocence until they grew up and discovered violence and who knows what else. O.o'

Definitely the more friendly Ghibli films (Totoro comes to mind) or something closer to a Saturday-morning cartoon (possibly Heroman or TTGL).
