| First off +1 Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu -- Well, KyoAni's art, the va's and the ost of the anime really bring this to life and besides there is that 800 lb gorilla called The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya at the end of it. OP. As for the recs, I do like my shoujo-ai and CGDCT so expect a lot of those types. If it's not your bag not then I enjoyed watching the OP/ED while doing this anyway :) Maria-sama ga Miteru -- A shoujo-ai drama focused around the 8 students of the student council (known as the Yamayuri Council). OP from S4. Successful enough in its day to warrant 4 seasons. Just so you know the shoujo-ai is very platonic (it's called Class S: emotional rather than sexual). Girls und Panzer -- Tank team. Great ost. Teaser. Also another series with an outstanding movie sequel. Haibane Renmei -- Community of girls/women living in a dorm (but not school related). OP, ED. K-On! -- Music club. OP. Saki -- Mahjong club tournament. Mild shoujo-ai elements. OP1, OP2. Strike Witches -- Retro-sci-fi/magic military flying unit. Note: ecchi/fanservice. Shoujo-ai elements. OP, ED. Simoun -- Another military sci-fi/magic flying unit. Shoujo-ai elements. Seitokai Yakuindomo -- Student council comedy. Note: raunchy humor :) Love Live! -- School idol group. Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- -- Sci-fi submarine crew. Sky Girls -- All-female mecha-ish unit. Sora no Manimani -- School astronomy club. Kantai Collection: KanColle -- Female naval academy/unit. High School Fleet -- Another all-female naval group (ship's crew). Peace Maker -- Shinsengumi samurai group. AKB0048 -- Space idols group. Rainbow -- All-male young offenders prison inmates. In your PTW I can't praise So Ra No Wo To enough (moe military SoL). Ano Natsu de Matteru is a good SoL (group making a film during summer break). |
