The raws and spoilers are available the same day the chapters are out in Be-love Magazine in Japan. The spoilers were coming out earlier but one of the bloggers of the spoilers was threatened.

TDX is only behind one chapter right now. TDX also translates Ace of Diamond.Chapter 171 will come out on August 12 in Japan I think TDX does a good job of keeping up

. Chapter 172 will come out on September 1 Volume 33 will be issued on October 13.

A hiatus? O_O Hope not a long one. I am currently at chapter 136; and reading like 1 volume a week maybe? I will be there in 1 and a half month I guess. I really like the story progression and character developments. ^_^

Never replied to this but ... It is interesting that she also used pansies on the cover of a previous tankobon, volume 16.

The general meaning "Think of Me" seems to be universal but we never expanded on this one in the symbolism thread, I think, did we? The nuance or difference comes with the colour variations for these flowers as well. Just copying and dropping this in here, for now, as something else to return to later ...

The preview page is up for Be Love 12. Although there is no “Chihayafuru” related illustration, the series is listed in the line-up for that issue, meaning chapter 182 will be in print by June 1, 2017.

(“Chihayafuru” will be appearing alongside the second part of a 「ギャルボーイ!」 (“Gal Boy!”) revival special, by Mariko Nakamura.)

The title page for “Chihayafuru” chapter 181 was uploaded to Be Love’s Twitter feed and shows Chihaya, in a very flowery kimono, tying on tasuki. The image also reveals the scheduled August 10, 2017 release of the next tankōbon, volume 35.

How are we getting chapters nowadays?

Perhaps this thread can also be useful, with one less word. To explore the different platforms available to us. Before I get into that, a bit of a rant about the original question. Because one word less rarely works for me... A rant about expectations and perhaps even a bit about entitlement. It has been pointed out before that the regular release schedule for Be Love magazine is a new issue every two weeks. Published around the first of each month and again around the fifteenth of every month. At around 32 pages each chapter that is a relentless schedule for such a complex series as Chihayafuru.

It is a private matter but of some public concern that Suetsugu-sensei has been ill a few times recently. Her health issue may continue to be a concern despite public appearances. Her health first and foremost determines the release schedule of this story. Followed immediately by considerations about the time she needs to finish each chapter in accordance with her visions for the story. Our impatience contributes nothing but unnecessary stress to her schedule. We have 183 chapters in print as proof that she can deliver. From a hospital bed if necessary. She doesn't need the pressure we put on her as incentive to continue producing - continued pressure to deliver at high speed seems to offer none of us any benefits.

Now then, how are we getting chapters nowadays?

Each publication of a Be Love magazine issue is preceded by an announcement of the contents for the next one. Currently we're on a mini-streak of consecutive Chihayafuru chapters. It won't last. The regular pattern has always included breaks. Expecting a hiatus in the future is better for your health too and is almost inevitable.

Each new chapter is released in print in Japan. There are regional delays because of distribution. These days each print edition of Be Love is also accompanied by the release of a digital copy. This digital version goes on general sale at midnight on the day of release in Japan (JST). Different regional obstacles may be associated with gaining access to these publications outside of Japan.

Amazon Japan offers the digital edition of Be Love magazine but amazon.com does not. Setting up an amazon.co.jp account in Japanese can be difficult. Once accomplished the account gives access to chapters on Kindle devices, Kindle apps and an online reader. Immediately.

Yahoo Japan runs an online Bookstore. One of the titles on offer is Chihayafuru. Previews of new chapters are made available with a delay of a few days. Access to the previews is free but for a limited time only. Free previews are limited to a few pages. I've been told this works outside Japan but without a bit of knowledge of Japanese the site can be a little complicated to navigate.
The preview for chapter one has remained accessible, chapter 182 will remain for a little while and chapter 183 has recently been uploaded.

Bookwalker Japan is another online provider where the series can be found in digital Be Love issues through their reader. I've been told this site works from outside Japan as well. There may be other providers which work but I have no experience with them. If someone could add to the list and perhaps provide some personal experience that might benefit those in perpetual search of access to the latest chapters.

That's for individual chapters. For most of its run time the series has been released at a pace of two volumes a year although the timing is not completely regular either. Volume 34 was released in March. Volume 35 is scheduled for August 2017. Many online book sellers provide free access to the fist pages of each volume. Sometimes subscription to the general site is required. Sometimes Geo-Blocking is employed to restrict access too.

In February 2017 Kodansha Comics, the US based Kodansha began releasing a newly translated Digital Edition of the series in English - with Geo-blocking in place. Three volumes released as of May 16, 2017 and ongoing.

In print a bilingual Japanese / English edition was released in Japan, which covers 17 chapters but this project appears to have been stopped there.

The books are also available in:
Korean, as 치하야후루, with up to 31 volumes in print, from Haksan Culture Company (학산문화사)
Chinese, as 花牌情緣, with up to 30 volumes in print, from Tong Li Publishing (東立出版社)
French, as Chihayafuru, with up to 20 volumes in print, from Pika Édition
Publication in these languages appears to be ongoing. There might be localised serialisation in these languages too and perhaps there are licenses for additional languages that I'm not aware of.

Chapter 186 came out some time ago. Chapter 184-88 were all in volume 36 which went on sale November 13 and has already sold over 250,000 copies. Chapters 189-190 went on sale on November 1 and November 15. Chapter 191 will be in BeLove 1 for 2018 on December 15. TDX recently scanalated Chapters 187-190 in tdxtreme.wordpress her blog.

TDX was waiting for volume 39 to be issued on August 13,2018 to obtain Japanese raws to translate. Volume 39 ends with Chapter 203. Suetsugu has published chapters 204-207 since then. Chapter 208 will come out on Nov 1,2018 and Volume 40 will be issued on November 13,2018

Some speculated that TDX would stop translating Chihayafuru after Taichi lost horribly to Arata in Chapter 205. One of the editors of TDX even commented about Japanese authors ended their stories badly

Since then a notice was placed on the tdxtreme word press site where the translations are posted asking for help with translation because of the many flashbacks in the chapters We still have hope that the chapters will be translated
