| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Scratch my last post, everyone survived. How disappointing. It was a nice direction, but I guess they didn't have the balls to do that. Janera's death was pretty funny though. I was changing my opinion in the final few episodes, but this episode pissed me off. That rarely happens, but this one managed to do it. I could stomach everyone surviving casually, but the final five minutes were horrible. They easily managed to drop my score by 1. If someone cares about historical values, this one was the first five man show with Megazord-like robot, it's also often parodied together with Getter Robo. It's also a recurring unit in Super Robot Wars, so there's that too. Those are the only reasons to watch it. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend it because of the second half. |

| After they killed off Garuda in the second half, the show kinda lost a lot of steam. I did really like the main pilots though. |

| I think that in the second half it also lost some subduelty. Various episodes in the first half had a subtext of ambientalist-man/machine synbiosis which was lost in the 2nd half |

| Completely awful "twist" in the end, this anime should have ended with Garuda |
