The March 2016 issue of Comic Alive magazine, which goes on sale today, has revealed that the previously announced original TV anime Haifuri will air from April 2016. A key visual was also revealed with character designs from the anime.

Director: Yuu Nobuta (Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai)
Series Composition, Script: Reiko Yoshida (Tamako Market)
Original Character Design: Atto (Non Non Biyori)
Character Design, Chief Animation Director: Naoto Nakamura (Miss Monochrome: The Animation)
Color Design: Hitomi Ikeda (Sekkou Boys)
Studio: Production IMS

Haifuri was first announced in the October 2015 issue of Comic Alive in collaboration with the mangaka of Non Non Biyori. A manga adaptation drawn by Kanari Abe has been serializing since the magazine's December 2015 issue. The series is set in an all-girls school whose students learn skills in order to protect the ocean.

A CD featuring the character song "Watashitachi Kinenbi" will go on sale on April 6. The single is listed with a retail price of 1,000 yen plus tax.

Looking forward to this. I hope it has a familiar feel that Non Non Biyori did.

Have my trust on this one since she's involved in so many SOL shows including Aria and Non Non

Finally some update about this. Daitoshokan might be a miss for this director so I just hope it will be worth it considering the scriptwriter/series composition for this one.

That's cute, hopefully it's not too preachy and my goodness I didn't expect a post apocalyptic world out of this.

This seems very much interesting, and the director if I remember he's new into it, so I might go and see how it plays out.

This might turn into a nice SoL.

Ohh boy. That promo image a while back sure was misleading, huh?

They also credit Takaaki Suzuki—the military advisor for Girls und Panzer, and one of the writers for Strike Witches—with the original concept. So this is sounding good.

By the way, when staff members have had major roles on popular full-length series, it'd be better to name those roles by their names rather than recent short series—Toaru Kagaku no Railgun and Mekakucity Actors for Nakamura, Ristorante Paradiso and Strike Witches for Ikeda.
