| Both my parents realize it's for all ages. My Dad has rented Ghost in the Shell before and stuff and once I rented a Studio Ghibli movie called "The Wind Rises" which is about WWII planes and he loves WWII planes so we both watched it. They also realized that there is kids anime as I grew up with Pokemon. My Dad also tried Attack on Titan once and he didn't get why it was so popular, I admit I liked the show but I kinda agree with him, it's overrated. My sister (who is 16) was watching Durarara off Netflix in the living room once and he commented that it was violent (which is ironic because he watches "The Walking Dead") If I had been watching it he probably wouldn't have said as much, he's probably still not used to seeing her watch stuff more mature than Barbie movies anyway. My parents are also aware that I watch it but they don't care. My Mom does like to watch the old seasons of Pokemon because she watched it a lot because I would watch it as a kid and my sister re-watched it recently so she saw a lot of it. I have watched some Studio Ghibli movies with her like "The Cat Returns" and she though they were ok but she could never really get into them. I intend to rent another Ghibli movie "Whispers of the Heart" sometime, I think she will probably like that one as it's never over-the-top and it heavily features a song that she likes. Though one time some guy at school said the trunk of his car was full of Manga and I was telling my sister about it and my mom overheard and automatically jumped to the conclusion that they were nasty (I guess she meant Hentai) since he was keeping them in his trunk, I don't know, his might have been lol. |

| My mother watched and enjoyed Death Note a long while ago but calls any other anime 'Those weird Japanese Cartoons'. My Father couldn't give two shits about it. With Manga they just pester me and constantly ask 'Why are you reading those weird backwards books?'. That or they ask me how I read them backwards. |

| My dad used to be a pretty big anime fan (He was one of those guys who bought complete series on DVDs and he has a huge collection of them). He used to watch the DBZ franchise with my brother and I because we were all obsessed with that back in the day. My mom occasionally watched DBZ with us and wondered why we were wasting our time with "such garbage". That's the extent to which my parents know anime. |

| My mother likes Studio Ghibli films, and watched most of One Piece, watched Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul and Attack On Titan. She takes suggestions sometimes from me and she might watch a series if I tell her about it. She also thinks Makoto Tachibana is cute. Nice, Mom. However, once I saw merch of an anime with kanji on it and jokingly said I should buy it. She said no- something about the past with Korea and Japan, being Korean and all. Dad doesn't really mind, but if he knew about hentai/yuri/yaoi, he wouldn't let me watch anime anymore probably. |
