Hey tsuyokunaru. First off, thanks for running the Manga Reading Challenge. This is the first time I've seen this competition but I'm looking to try it out. I did have a question though: from the adaptations category "Read a manga adapted from a video game, original anime or light novel", are visual novels as original sources allowed as well or are only these 3 sources allowed? Edit: I originally posted this on your wall, but I found this thread immediately afterwards. Apologies about that. |

Also since you liked Slam Dunk you could try Real. Its by the same author however it is still ongoing. Thanks, I will read Akira then instead of watching the movie. Just a question. Let's consider this; I asked for manga recommendations some time ago (for the sake of the question, before this year's challenge started) and got some. One of the people who recommended me manga back then is participating in this year's challenge. Can I use one of his/her recommended manga from back then for the challenge "Read a manga recommended to you by another Manga Reading Challenge participant"? EDIT: Actually forget it. Just recommend me something short, not focused on romance and has finished publishing. I'm thinking Sports or Mystery is what I'd like it to focus on, though anything's fine (except romance). |

>>> Kakukaku Shikajika <<< Finished it at 2 a.m. even though I got work in the next morning because I just didn't feel like stopping, but it's worth it. 10/10. Why not? - Interesting characters (both the girl and her teacher, especially the teacher). - Amazing story. - Motivational. - The humor is funny. - No forced drama, at all, obviously. - Make me reflect on my life. T_T For everyone who haven't read it, fit this in in your challenge, be it for rating above 8.5, award winning, professional's life, demographic. Read it, just read it. I'm not even exaggerating just to please Dullboy. Read this, just read it, for humanity. |

There's a documentary about mangaka called Urasawa Naoki no Manben, and each episode focuses on a certain mangaka, and one of the episodes focuses on her. Here's the first episode. Oh, and can someone give me a rec for the below challenge: Read a manga recommended to you by another Manga Reading Challenge participant I don't care about the genre or demographic or anything. I just want something short (1-10 volumes) and good. |

Something comming from the mangaka at least if you haven't read any of him , it's an experience to try I think) tsuyokunaru : if I recall correctly , you seemed to be interested in reading Yuureitou , so I thought I would tell you that the manga is finish now . If you try it , I'll be extremely interested in knowing your opinion about it , because it's really a strange and peculiar manga . I would recommend it to any other challenger that need a "horror" or "mystery" manga by the way . |

@sorafleurs Yes, you can use manhwa and it doesn't even have to be in the MAL database, no problem. As for recommendations: » Read a manga that has a main character of gender opposite to the demographic (Solanin, Sakamichi no Apollon) » Read a manga that has not been adapted in any way (from your PTR Bitter Virgin, Prunus Girl, Hana no Namae, as far as I know none of this have been adapted. » Read a manga recommended to you by another Manga Reading Challenge participant No Color because it's my favorite BL manga... but you can take a rec from someone else if you don't want to read this lol @Monstrum Phew. The first one might be a little hard since all the one-shots to serialization stories I know of are shounen (Beelzebub, Koe no Katachi, Medaka Box, One Piece, Naruto, etc) but maybe someone else will have a rec that fits your criteria. |

Thank you for that. Just watched it. Amazing. Wonder how she could have most page counts. The mangaka of Doraemon or Kochikame should have more, no? Most importantly, she's pretty. XD I see there's also Asano Inio's episode. Will definitely watch that later. I want to try Oyasumi Punpun once more. Hope by watching it, I feel more motivated. Couldn't handle it the first time. I finished the Ping Pong anime a couple of weeks ago, so it is a bit to fresh in my mind to read. I like some time in-between when read/watching adaptions/original source materials. As for One-outs since it looks like I'd have to watch the anime that is out for now.
