I think I was about eleven when I watched D. Grey Man and I hadn't watched too many animes back then. I can only remember having watched dog days and tokyo mewmew. I hope you get the picture. An eleven year old only having watched anime about Magical animal girls and... Well.. More animal people, and then watch D. Grey Man.
I loved it, but after I finished it, nothing touched me anymore. I have watched more animes who are supposed to give you feels. I watched elfen lied, and the only time I got feels was when the dog died. Is there anyone who have had the same experience as I?

I don't even know what you're asking for but I feel like I would of appreciated the series more if I took my time with it.
All credit goes to Sacred.

I watched it for the first time when I was about 17 and cared more about high school based shows (nothing wrong with them) so I lost interest the first time. But now that I rewatched it a few years ago D. Gray Man is one of my favorite shows.

Jup, watched really early on, watched when I was six. But not a lot and only mainstream/ big series, like yu-gi-oh (dubbed), later on subbed when I got tired of waiting for the airings. :P
And got serious about anime when I turned 16 years.

I feel like I watched anime like Lucky Star and all of the magical girl-ish anime I watched (Madoka, Is this a zombie?, Moetan, ect.) too early. Lucky Star has a lot of references to other anime that I didn't understand when I watched it. Madoka is meant to look like a generic magical girl anime on the surface and get darker later on. I hadn't seen any real magical girl anime back then so they didn't have the same effect that they should have.

When I was 5 I watched the Sci Fi channel when it showed Anime early in the morning. First Anime I saw was the first Vampire Hunter D. It also showed Ninja Scrolls, Akira and Street Fighter II V along with many more older shows.

I watched Cardcaptor Sakura when I was 10, while it's a magical girl show, it contains a bit of Yaoi, Yuri, and Incest at the same time, back then I never understood why Shaoran always blushes whenever Yukito gets close to him for example.
