Ruko seemingly loses Tama and Yuki. I myself was not very happy the ending though. It all felt very logical, very safe. Bad guy "dies", woobie Mayu redeems herself, everyone goes back to appreciating how great life is when not ***ked up by Wixoss. So bland, it felt like a cop-out. A full blown dark "rebellion" type sequel is most welcome, 'cause lets face it, compared to Piluluk/Kiyoi, everyone else had it friggin' easy. It's time to share the sweet suffering :D |

Ruko was like "oh city is still there false alarm lololol" in the end.I thought that the series got axed or something and that they had to pull a happy go lucky end out of their ass but it looks like its all good with the return of ulith(and she looks more edgy then ever) |

Not having a corporeal form doesn't make them any less real in that world. Their actions were able to influence the people around them. They are characters that Ruko formed connections with and their loss made an emotional impact even with viewers. So whether or not it "counts" is just a matter of opinion. As for the foreshadowing. Well, it's foreshadowing isn't it. The desolated city dream was not meant to be a literal prediction of events to come at the time of production for season 2. I think it's safe to say that most viewers simply took it as the representation of damage Ruko + Tama could potentially have caused with the lethal combination of skill, lack of wish, and battlelust, destroying peoples dreams willy-nilly. At some point, even Ulith points this out and says something to the effect of "I understand why Mayu paired the two of you together, given you have the ability to destroy everything". The whole series has been about teasing at the worst case scenario without actually going there, or chickening out afterwards. For example, Hitoe regains her memories, Akira can conceal her scar, and the girl who wished for good health and lost 3 times didn't actually die. I would like for the show to make good on its premise in this upcoming movie. Looking forward to knowing if there is any relevance behind the weird eye colours of Ulith. |

Sirkamilo said: The first episode of the first season foreshadowed some dark stuff so I don't get why some people are surprised to see a sequel. The ending of second season was too... bland. And there were some plot holes in the whole series overall. Let's hope some dark twist at the finish line makes it all worth watching. yeah, i really want it to reveal all of those dark stuffs, better hope it's not a recap |

New PV out today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9N4H0vw9QA Most of the video reuses sequences from the TV series. Looks like Ruko's past will finally be explored. Since I don't speak JP it's a toss up between her having a twin or being crazy. The other girl (bottom left) looks like a mini-Ulith. Be friggin' surprised if it isn't since a screenshot of a butterfly follows immediately afterwards. New LRIG (Ru?) is shown to be fighting the Yukiona x Tama pair. It's quite confusing actually. I'm not sure if this is a direct sequel from Spread of if it's a re-imagining of the series. |

So is this actually going to be a recap after all? Cos most of the trailer looks like it was taken from the TV series, though there are some new scenes here and there. Why is it so hard for anime companies to make movies for TV series that aren't at least partially recaps? |

the "recap" part is just characters recalling past event, the movie is a complete sequel. |

So excited for more suffering! S2 was pretty bad in comparison with s1, but I still remember WIXOSS overall with fond (dark) memories. Can't wait for the movie. |

I expected a sequel, given the amount of unanswered questions in SIW and SSW for instance, Futase did mention that LRIGs only appear to girls that have a wish they want to come true... and yet that contradicts Ruuko's wish, as she initially had none. Yuki did clarify that on SIW. another one, SSW ep 9. Ulith mentioned to tama that "she's a terrifying girl" and "the girl that can destroy it all" (Destructed reference?) Question is, who is the girl Ulith was referring to. I thought it would be Mayu, but that did not make any sense at all. She's a dead person w/ one wish. Lv. 5 Tama/Sunspot Tama? Doesn't seem to be the case either. Ruuko sounds like what Ulith was referring to, but why? and much others Hoping that this would be not the last movie for WIXOSS... although I'm expecting a lot from this. |

I wish I knew what the heck they're talking about. It'll hopefully get translated soon but from what I can gather, Ruko developed some kind of loneliness complex after the chat with little psycho girl. She later made up an imaginary friend. Ruko's dad left the family for some reason. Her mom wanted a new start but feels burdened by the two kids. Big brother is being understandably mopey and mentions something about having to change their family name from Tachibana to Kominato. |

Ruuko sounds like what Ulith was referring to, but why? besides Ruko every girl can spell out their wish. maybe she has a desire that she can't form into words. ulith's words came true. not in the ending the world sense but Ruko destroyed the white room. they still have a lot they could cover: 1. Ulith's revenge for example. she is out in the world and has a very strong wish. that's about the same circumstance Mayu was in. 2. they could also try to explain how Mayu got her powers since she had them before she died so it couldn't have been that she was just a strong ghost. Ruko's background story will hopefully be very interesting^^ |

Not sure which bits you're getting this one from though. I would like to know D: I kinda pieced it together from the conversation she had with "Rumi-chan" when they go to the crossing. Rumi-chan mentions something about Ruko's name, & something to do with the kanji 幸, sachi for 'happiness' or 'good luck'. Which is similar to 辛い tsurai which means 'painful'. She says that to be alone is painful and subsequently runs off leaving Ruko alone & therefore submitting her to a walloping of sadness (I think it's obvious "Rumi-chan" is in fact Ulith by now). Toward the end of the trailer Ruko asks the girl for her name, who is about to say "Sachi" - something or the other, but stops midway. This is why I think she's just part of Ruko's imagination. But this is all guesswork since I don't actually speak Japanese. |
