Essentially as the title says, I'm looking for an anime where the (Pref male) MC was trained as a child by an elite group or some old grand dad that was an expert in something, and the MC later became part of a group where the best of the best go for example. It doesn't have to be exactly as i described but along the premise that the MC went through tough training as a child that normal men cant survive and they became incredibly strong for their age (pref 16-21) and joined the strongest group. I also don't mind if there's a harem around the MC or if it goes to the romantic side or political

It doesn't necessarily have to be trained as a child also, as long as hes part of the best group

Examples:
chrome shelled regios (without the getting kicked out part)
Shokugeki no Souma (Not exactly what i want, but he was trained as a child)
One piece(Getting trained by his grand dad)
kuusen-madoushi-kouhosei-no-kyoukan (Being part of the top group)

Also refrain from recommending anime that date lower than year 2000, If the animation looks old i probably wont watch it regardless how much you love old animation i don't

blade dance of the elementers, I didn't really like this anime due to the fact the MC let the 8yr old looking loli push him around, stopped after 3eps

Akame Ga kill, Is my favorite anime and you're an amazing person for recommending that :)

Berserk unless you're one of the losers who can't watch older anime. It has what you described.

Akame Ga Kill is mediocre.

Lol you must be new here.

Rokka no Yuusha, but I doubt it'll be your cup of tea.

May seem like a normal harem at first but it gets really interesting in the sequel

If Mushoku Tensei ever gets adapted it's probably the best in this category. Literally covers the MCs entire life, starting with his birth

Your list is kinda uncompleted, but I would stick with Katanagatari if I were you.

Kajitsu's adaptation was TOTALLY butchered, but Meikyuu and Rakuen have pretty faithful adaptations. Ironic because Kajitsu is much better as a visual novel than its sequels, but as for the anime goes the opposite is true. So yes, from an anime-only perspective then the sequels are much better

I guess Dragon Ball (Z)

Kinda obscure and really old but this anime called Chirin no Suzu has thatcharacter arc.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."
