| Its been said and defiantly explored in fiction such as Lovecraft that outside and beyond what we know of reality is a whole other universe of darkness and chaos and sometimes these worlds open up to each other and thats where we get all our imagery of hell of demons, ghosts and monsters throughout history. Not all of course many were just made up stories but the idea that its possible to tear into another reality, perhaps a place thats best left alone has always been around. Theres been thoughts throughout history that mathematics are the key to opening such portals. If you could theoretically create a device with extremely specific angles all based around mathematics it might be possible to open a gateway to this other universe. The question is perhaps some things should be left alone. I don't quite much like the idea that our reality is floating about surrounded by this dark universe of chaos. “The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age.” - Lovecraft. Honestly out of all the horror stories in the world this idea scares me the most. |

| I don't see why should anyone even be afraid of it. If you are afraid of this then I'm telling you a far better thing to be afraid of is the fact that even in the known stretches of the universe, you're but hardly a dot. That's frightful enough. No need for monsters and demons to join in on the story. If anything, they'd just make it more comical. I'm more afraid of interminable isolation than some scary voodoos out in the galaxy. |

| I honestly love this idea ive seen those movies read some lovecraft (read about the ideas a lot more) and i find it truly fascinating and love to entertain the idea as much as possible....
