It was relatively unknown until the Anime started to air...now it is getting a huge boost in sales...if there is any anime from the summer season that is making a huge influence that are based on manga it is it.

Oooh Torikae Baya! A few japanese friends of mine really like this, I'd like to read it someday.

Also, I didn't notice Gangsta 7 already came out. I hope it will be released soon in my country too, can't wait to read it!

Magi isn't doing that well right now... It sold 156,639 in 3 days.
Previously it would have sold 300k-350k in 3 days.
I'm assuming it'll do better in its second week.

I would hope so, Jojo has been ongoing for close to 30 years, and besides next year Jojo volumes will be outselling Bleach, just like Soma will next month.

It's only been on sale for 3 days, Fairy Tail also has pretty decent legs, it'll reach 380k at least before falling off the list.

Nice to Kingdom doing well. Didn't know a manga based in China would do so well in Japan. Hopefully we get an anime reboot, since the one we got was a huge piece of shit filled with cgi

Fairy Tail is out of it's prime and the anime probably won't last long (The 2015 anime sucks ass after all)

TG:Re 3 is selling pretty well, but that's only due to Kaneki appearing.

Magi selling okay-ish. I remember it doing a lot better in the old days.

AssClass selling like always. I mean, it features an octopus and a trap main character. Of course Japan loves it.

Children buying One Piece like always.

You are citing data of one chain shop which mostlikly having older customer regardless genre of books. You might get totally differentl numbers if you look up sales data in Amazon or animate or convinience store
It more suggest customer of kinokuniya rather than one piece

Your sauce just said 88% of people who bought one piece in Kinokuniya are adults nothing more. That kind of statistics heavily influenced by customor of that shop. What if teenager mainly buy one piece in shops such as conviniense store, amazon, geo or tutaya(video game or rental shop),animate for example?

Anyway I agree great majority of one piece reader are adults,if not 90%.I just didn't like the idea treating people who bought them in one chain shop = Japan in general

Still had Kaneki though, right? That's enough to get people hype and start buying the volumes. Notice how volume 1 has less than the other 2

I think it's high time to read Magi. Been wanting to, but I was hoping for a season 3 soon, but... but... fuck anime. Let's give its manga a try. :)
"I'm just your typical human being who commit sins just like you. But the difference is that I never lied and tell anyone that what I did was right. I regret and ask for forgiveness from Him."

Why is my signature not anime-related? It's because who gives a fuck? Anyway I'd like to advertise to you this:

SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN IS FOLLOWING A SIMPLE FLOW OF THE STORYLINE. AND IT GETS REPETETIVE IF YOU VIEW IT ON ITS BIGGER PICTURE. WITH A LITTLE PLOT TWIST AND NEW IDEAS, YOU FORGOT THAT IT HAD ALREADY HAPPENED BEFORE.

Also, Tokyo Ghoul is AWESOME. Especially :re.
