Thought Looney would be picked at 27. I bet the Dubs take him.

Boston now on the clock. Bet Looney goes here.

Cleveland was Stupid.
Miami got a steal (A ****ing STEAL).....WTF Detroit....& thank Kami-Sama he didn't fall into Jordan's hands
Knicks may have had the best night if they now manage to pull a decent center during the off-season.
I'm waiting to see what Boston is going to trade to complete this team.
Minnesota...OMG.... Tyus (to replace Rubio's lack of late game ability: on a side note Rubio should've been replaced a couple yrs. ago anyway when they drafted Trey Burke, but whatever) playing alongside Lavine, Wiggins, & KTowns #Brutality
Love the Dallas Pick (they needed a replacement for Shawn Marion's defense)

200+ Posts on Draft night following a 5,700+ Posts thread of 2014-15 thread....

It looks like Basketball is indeed the most popular sport on MAL.

These numbers are very close to the glorious NFL threads which I have proudly been part of since the very first year that I came to MAL.

Alas, the draft is over.

As a Jazz fan, I feel the draft wasn't too shabby. I was a bit down on getting Lyles initially since Winslow fell as far as 10 and I legitimately felt we had a shot at him. I liked Turner too and was disappointed when he was picked right before the Jazz's pick. After everything has settled down, Lyles is a pretty interesting prospect. Supposedly, the Jazz had him run a ton of PnRs in the workout and he excelled at that. If Lyles could become a legit ball handler at the 4 for a PnR, he could make for a ton of interesting mismatches.

Basketball is also the easiest and probably most fun sport to play.

Get a basketball and go to your local court.....DONE!

You can have fun shooting around by yourself or playing 1 on 1 with your friend.

So it seems like Manu and Duncan will take huge pay cuts to bring LMA to the Spurs. :( I'm about 90% sure he is a Spur.

Chandler Parsons is trying hard to recruit DJ to Dallas, hopefully we steal him away from L.A. I actually like our chances.

So Lebron opts out to the surprise of NO ONE....

If people still believe that Lebron came to Cleveland cuz he wanted to come "home".....you need a wake up call.

From now on....this will be the narrative.

Lebron will hold ANY organization HOSTAGE until he gets what he wants, so Dan Gilbert (You piece of SHIT) you will pay dearly this offseason by having to sign max contracts and basically be Lebron's BITCH!

I really hope you go DEEP into the Luxury tax....and remember....Lebron does NOT work for you.

YOU work for Lebron.

He did not come "home" to be a hero, he came to win rings and to be the COACH, GM, and OWNER of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he'll do ANYTHING to accomplish that goal.

So @DanGilbert PAY THE FUCK UP!

Rumors that Love may sign for 5 years $110 million on July 1. Please be true, oh freat lord LeGod.

And Alex, no one in Cleveland cares if LeBron wants more control or money. It's only Dan Gilbert's money that is at stake and he's got billions from Quicken Loans and could care less. He's the best shot Cleveland has at a championship, so let him do whatever the fuck he wants.

Well, yeah, everything you've said is accurate.

I'm just saying that people need to stop pretending Lebron came home to save Cleveland or whatever, that wasn't the case.

If Cleveland weren't in the position they were he wouldn't have returned.

But it was the perfect spot for him, not only did they have a young star and the #1 pick, he also knew that they would bend over backwards to do whatever he wanted.....that's something Miami nor Pat would ever relinquish.

Yes, everyone knows that he didn't come back to Cleveland just to "Come Home" and the team's makeup was a large part of the reason. Still, 99.9% of people in Cleveland don't care. He's our best shot at a championship in 15+ years. No one even thinks about the narrative other than the Nike/ESPN hype machine when they're making a new commercial. We all just want a championship and will take it anyway that we can. LeBron just wants to win championships as well so everyone is on the same page.

Yeah ok...

And to be fair, you'll probably get your long awaited championship via Lebron...

If he could push Cleveland to two games away from the title with what they had....a healthy Cavs team should definitely do it.

But be warned, for the most part you guys got a pass the entire year.....but this upcoming year, there is no question....

It's championship or bust....no ifs, ands, or buts...

It was like that in Miami since day one for four straight years.

Looking back at it, the stress wore me out every year....the only good thing that came out of Lebron leaving was that stress being lifted from that team and also no more bandwagoning from clowns who don't give a shit about MY team.

So apparently the Mavs are heavy favorites to land DJ, and I am OK with this. It kind of sucks that we might have to let go of Tyson for a second time, but I understand wanting to get younger with Jordan. If I were the Clippers I'd see if they could negotiate a S&T for Tyson, he would be a great defensive rim protector and a leader in the locker room and much cheaper too saving them some cap.

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/25227856/report-deandre-jordan-to-meet-with-clippers-knicks-lakers-and-mavs

Also, the Lakers will offer LMA 4 years 80 Million.
http://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/la-sp-lakers-bresnahan-20150628-story.html

Brandon Knight will Re sign with Suns for 5 Years 70 million
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/28/report-suns-will-re-sign-brandon-knight-to-five-year-70-million-contract-when-free-agency-starts/

[quote=CBS Sports]
Closing in on Kawhi. While the Spurs await official word that Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are coming back, their first order of business will be swift and simple: Re-signing defensive player of the year Kawhi Leonard to a five-year max deal, league sources told CBSSports.com.

Don't expect any big recruitment meetings, songs or dances when the negotiating floodgates open just after midnight ET Wednesday -- just a simple, quietly executed agreement that will keep Leonard in San Antonio well into his prime. The max deal is likely to have an early-termination option after the fourth season, sources said.

Leonard, who turns 24 on Monday, waited a year to get his commitment from the Spurs so the team would have payroll flexibility. He isn't inclined to do a shorter deal and take advantage of the rising cap next summer; there's injury risk involved, and Leonard will still be young enough to reap the benefits of the higher cap when he hits the market again in 2019.

With Leonard in the fold, the Spurs will immediately focus their attention on unrestricted free agent LaMarcus Aldridge, and there's a legitimate chance he ends up joining the five-time champions, said a person familiar with the situation. The expectation is that Duncan will be back for his 19th season, and that Ginobili will return at a deeply discounted rate, sources said. Ginobili will announce his intentions in a column he will write for an Argentine newspaper.

If there's a fear among Spurs executives, it's that they won't have enough room left to retain Danny Green, who has attracted interest from the Mavs, Blazers and Pistons, sources said.[quote]

DJ without CP3 putting the ball on a silver platter for him would be an offensive nightmare. Although I guess the Mavs don't need any kind of offense from Jordan since they were already a great offensive team at the start of last season.

I wonder where LMA would sign this offseason. His best chance at a ring would be if he signs with the Spurs but that would mean the Spurs have to let go of some players to be able to offer him a max.

They will have to lose

Patty, Splitter, and possibly Green to do it

Also renounce Cojo

Anyway the Mavs just need a solid P&R point guard to work with Jordan. Sure he won't be able to do all the things CP3 does, but it should be enough to be useful.
