I've met people who like anime before, but these people have been quite normal. I've never seen one of these otaku types before, nor anyone wearing anime merchandise or whatever.

* This excludes anime livery on cars, I've seen several boy racers (street racers) with anime liveries on their cars before; both on the street and at car shows.

Almost every day I see someone wearing an anime-related shirt, bag, accessories and others. Anime is mainstream here in the Philippines

Always men who I see watching/talking about anime, if you mean weeaboo (cosplay, act like an anime character), then mostly women.

I once worked with a girl who enjoyed some anime, video games, loud music and skateboarding.

Other than that, I only meet them at conventions. Israel is pretty unfriendly to nerds.

I have a few friends who enjoy mainstream anime, occasionally I go to cons with them.
I also remember when we went to school trips and they danced hare hare yukai. It was pretty embarrassing.

I too see some dude in the mirror from time to time.
He once told me how angry he was when failed to
finish downloading the show due to lost Internet
connection. At least he went for a walk that day..

There's quite a large group of people in my school that are fans of anime, clearly more than half of them being female. Though weirdly most of the females all have the "loud tumbler girl, choir lover" type, while the guys are the stereotypical nerds. I can't say how many of them actually watch things other than the more poplar ones. I usually avoid these people, but are still friendly to them.

I haven't but my brother saw some weeaboos in my town wearing cat ears and apparently they had anime umbrellas and stupid goggles
🗿

I am easily entertained.

i saw some sort of cosplayer meet-up at a nearby shopping center once. there were mostly mainstream cosplays: KnB, AoT, possibly Free!, and some other shows that i don't remember.

it was interesting to see but obviously pretty awkward, lol.

I hate those weeb girls that always say things like

"omg all my friends say im just like Yuno! >_< lol!"
"my boyfriend says im just like her omg!"

When clearly they're absolutely desperate to be seen like a quirky edgy anime girl and fishing for anime compliments and acknowledgment that they are soo like that.

Damn weebs

All you really need are some good, colourful wigs. Being Asian and slightly androgynous is also a bonus.

Back in my middle school and high school there were plenty, though most of them only talked about the anime on toonami and didn't go any further, so I guess they don't count. When I used to go outside regularly I'd occasionally see people reading manga or wearing t-shirt's from various anime and they all looked fairly normal. Then again, I've never been to any of the cons.

Yeah, especially recently. When I went to see Ressurection F in theaters and another time that was pretty freakin' random but cool. I also know a good bunch of people who like it like I do.

Most anime fans I've come across are unstable, usually both physically and mentally. I tend to avoid them. But most of my friends at least kind of enjoy anime.

Just read MAL's Anime Discussion if you want the instability to look worse than it is on the outside.

One of my two BFFs, my ex GF, as well as some other people I know are anime fans. They're the main reason I started watching anime myself.

Even though I'm not that much of an anime fan, at least not as much as them, I like to wear this shirt:

I went to an anime club meet up in a city I recently moved to.

Regret.

Highlight: Girl sitting on dude's lap. Totally normal. Cool. Until they started calling each other "sister" and "brother." Yeaaah.

Yeah, I once became friends with a girl because I complemented her shirt which said YAOI and the letters were formed with smaller words like 'thirsty' and 'hungrily' lmao.
Also once saw a dude wearing a SNK shirt at my high school, and some Akatsuki cosplayers in town.
