| There's quite a large group of people in my school that are fans of anime, clearly more than half of them being female. Though weirdly most of the females all have the "loud tumbler girl, choir lover" type, while the guys are the stereotypical nerds. I can't say how many of them actually watch things other than the more poplar ones. I usually avoid these people, but are still friendly to them. |

| Back in my middle school and high school there were plenty, though most of them only talked about the anime on toonami and didn't go any further, so I guess they don't count. When I used to go outside regularly I'd occasionally see people reading manga or wearing t-shirt's from various anime and they all looked fairly normal. Then again, I've never been to any of the cons. |

| Yeah, I once became friends with a girl because I complemented her shirt which said YAOI and the letters were formed with smaller words like 'thirsty' and 'hungrily' lmao. Also once saw a dude wearing a SNK shirt at my high school, and some Akatsuki cosplayers in town. |
