| I guess so because if you add too much on the sides the focus on the middle would be destroyed, if it's too much black you can cut it off. But I'm not a pro if it comes to such a difficult tag /o\ |

| Hello, new member and noob at PS here. @Sylinchen , I have downloaded your SAO psd for learning purposes and I was wondering how you did the Sword Art Online header? I feel like there is more to it than just gradients, and I couldn't put a finger on it despite trying to learn off of your psd (because I'm dumb and slow rip). So if you don't mind, can you enlighten me about how you made it? Thank you so much! |

I tried following tutorials in Youtube and Deviantart with no luck. Is there a specific trick to doing it? Thanks :3 Btw, here's the work I was making for my friend. Trying to make the render's eyes glow with no luck :( |

| Hey. Its been ages since the last time I came here. Here is a problem. I got stuck at the very beginning of the process. So to say I have artistic block (I think that is the term in English). I want to make a matching profile picture + about me section using visual novel Dies Irae as the base (and as everyone who read it I deny the existence of that its anime). I have decided to use this as the base for profile picture https://gareblogs.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/lotus02.jpg and this as a core/main image for about me: https://nemuromemorialhall.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/cursed-fate-e1506965024897.png?w=739 The problem is that I want to include more images from VN and they have a lot of different color schemes. I always worked only after choosing specific motive (for example my current one - fire). Without motive I can't choose images. Any suggestions what to use as the base/motive to work on? |

If you dont have Color lookup in your version of photoshop try combining different gradients. Experimenting is always a good way to go. If you want to keep it colorful.. well! When I focus on a game (or in your case VN) I always try to catch what reoccuring symbols and motives they use. Game menus and other UI included. Since I dont really know what Dies Irae is really about, I miiiiight not really to help you, but just looking at the core image you aim to use the chains and roses in it seem the dominant theme.. so some kind of dungeon you would see in a dark fantasy? |
