HxH vs HxH(2011)

just a quick question. I have seen the original HxH and i waited for the HxH(2011) to start where the original left off.
Are the episodes of HxH (2011) the exact same as the original up until the Chimera Arc?

HxH Original is better, but 2011 has the Ant arc.

No they're not the same, but 1999's is done in a better way especially in Yorknew and the Exam.

Particular scenes that were a tie: Yorknew ruin and Gon vs Hisoka.

2011 has Kastro vs Hisoka, which was great, but they absolutely ruined Chrollo vs Zoldycks (outsourced episode with terrible stiff cut-out animation)

I'd suggest watching HxH2011 from the very beginning, I jumped into HxH 2011 right where the original left off, and couldn't get into it.

Both versions omitted few scenes, most popular ones would be Hisoka vs Kastro from the original, and Kaito's appearance at the very beginning of the series from HxH 2011. HxH also apparently has a few filler episodes.

HxH > HxH 2011 btw.

Watch the original version until the end of Greed Island's arc. Then continue to HxH 2011 where you left off.

No, the original didn't show the entire fight between Hisoka and Kastro or the City of Love, but 2011 does. And the original had about 4 filler episodes, and a filler character in a canon episode. There are a lot of differences between the two, but the only one of significance is the Hisoka and Kastro fight in the Heaven's Arena arc. Maybe also the City of Love in the Greed Island arc too, since some pretty amusing stuff happened there. Heaven's Arena in the 2011 version is a better adaptation than the 1999 version, but it's best to start watching it from the very beginning.

Well, both are great IMO, but since I like HXH 2011 better I'd suggest you to watch HXH 2011 from the beginning.

HXH 2011 is my first favorite anime while the original one is my third favorite anime (my second favorite anime is Magic Kaito 1412)
