| That question XD I think that zombies aren't actually alive. If you really think about it, they lack at least two of the 7 characteristics of living things. Zombies don't grow and they can't maintain homeostasis (I'm not sure about metabolism though- do zombies actually digest the stuff they eat?). Anyways, that's my thoughts on the subject :) |

| Lol~ I don't think so because they kind of lose their sence of thinking and are just walking around doing pretty much anything without much thought... And I mean alive things have to make cells n stuff right? I don't think zombies do that.. |
| Good question xD I guess it depends on how zombies work for you. I don't think they are alive. I think the virus inside them controls a dead body. Kinda like a puppeteer with its puppet. Or like a bio-microscopical-mecha anime :P the virus being the driver and the corpse being the giant robot. |

| I guess that depends on how you define alive. By modern science's standards, they're not alive because their beings don't abide by the seven characteristics of living things, as turtlebandit mentioned. |

| Hellsing Ultimate is highly recommended for that I also had the surprising pleasure of watching Sidonia no Kishi yesterday which may or may not include living dead depending on what happens in future seasons (it's still unclear just what exactly they are) |

| I'm just curious about the first question, did anyone think of the scientific theory? or just about the movies and stuff? cause According to scientist Zombies brains will not be controlled by a virus more of less another life form, some what I'll call it life form to make it simple, they'll keep all memories they had (Because the body can block the mind but it can not completely forget a memory) and able to move just as a normal person, however they do not need to feed on food or humans but everything will be like burnt food compared to raw meat. To Me, they're alive just as Me and You, they're just stronger than us. |
