So recently I picked up on reading manga... And I've read Berserk and Claymore...

So what I need as far as manga goes, something like those two, meaning serious story, supernatural (whether it's action does not matter at all, as long as it has mystery and supernatural feel to it, tho I like action) and most importantly it must be finished. I do not want another Berserk experience. Also not crucial, but the longer the manga the better. I like sticking to one show and developing a connection with characters...

AS for anime recommendation... Well goes the same as for manga, however when it comes to anime I like romance/drama shows like Nagi no Asukara, Clannad or Ef.. I like SHows like Durarara that seem utterly confusing but become clear. I like action. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY I LOVE STORY! Whatever genre it is, story must be good. Blood Plus was for me a perfect mixture of everything. Romance, character development, action, story... Pretty much anything you can recommend that you found good. Only real requirement is that it's not older than 2010 (unless you think show is masterpiece), it must be finished, whether it is awaiting for sequel or not does not matter (but do try to mention if it is getting a sequel so I can note it).. So no ongoing or unfinished anime c:

Thank you!

I didn't read/watched berserk, but according to many people Uble Blatt is the closest thing to berserk.

I'm ignoring your time limit and recommending Seirei no Moribito and Monster.

Some of the best anime shows ever made came out between 2003 and 2008. To ignore them for some arbitrary reason always seems silly to me.

just to clarify you want ones like claymore?

In a way yes... Because Claymore had a nice story, but balanced action with it. Or rather I liked the idea up to the end where it turned into shounen. But it was still a great engaging experience and I like monsters, mediveal/steampunk (like akame ga kill world, even tho it is not full steampunk), story all mashed up together. I have to say I find Berserk much better tho.

To other thank you.

Seiji, I just don't like being late to stuff. So what I missed without knowing it is fine. All discussion on old stuff are dead and you can easily spoil yourself :P I make exceptions tho, I'll be sure to check out what you recommended. Time rule is only for anime tho, manga is fine from whenever it is.

Anime:

http://myanimelist.net/anime/7674/Bakuman
Has romance subplot, but more importantly, it's a very inspirational anime on the life of a mangaka. Also, it's made by the same people who created Death Note. 3 seasons in total and is complete.

A girl strives to compete in an obscure sport known as karuta. What excites me about this anime is the intensity of the sport and the motivation behind the girl's dreams. Currently has 2 seasons. Not sure whether it will get a 3rd season, though.

A tear jerker, if you ask me. This anime only covers the 1st part of its original visual novel counterpart, but just this alone is pretty emotional.

I can recommend more, but I think this will do for now.

There's GUIN SAGA (anime), it sure, according to a lot of people, has an unfinished end, but, believe me, this masterpiece deserves you take a look. Here's the trailer, here's an extract.
