SynopsisKieli sees ghosts. It’s an odd ability for a 14-year-old girl, and it makes her a bit of an outcast at her boarding school. Her only friend, in fact, is the (semi-) departed spirit of a girl who used to inhabit her room. That is until the two encounter a young man who appears to share Kieli’s “gift.” It doesn’t take long to discover, though, Harvey is an altogether different sort of creature — one of the infamous Undying, the reanimated corpse of a dead soldier. Could it be that in this cursed fellow Kieli has finally found a kindred spirit? Throwing in her lot with this strange, soulless man and his possessed radio, she means to find out…

I'm not really great at writing reviews, but I really think this manga needs one so people know how great it is :)
The reason I picked up this manga in the story and bought it was because of the art style. I thought it looked so pretty, it stood out to me. Little did I know that the manga itself in every aspect was also very awesome. I don't have much more to say about the art style, I just loved it and I think anyone that likes the modern style of manga will too.
The story itself, or the main theme I should say, isn't too original unfortunately. It's another 'they can see ghosts since they were little and no one else can' sort of thing. But there's enough plot twists and orginality in it here and there that I still found it quite nice.
Another part, besides the art, that I really enjoyed, were the characters. The main character, Kieli, isn't just another annoying school girl, she's actually got some real emotion and personally, I think it's cool that she only makes friends with ghosts. Of course, I really love Harvey too, I've got a soft spot for the cool guys. Not much else to say here, but I think most people can appreciate one or the other, or in my case, both.
Overall, a nice little manga. I enjoyed it all the way through and surprisingly didn't find myself feeling uncomfortable about a single part. It wasn't focused on hot girls or whatever, it was all about the story and the development of the emotions and relationships of Kieli. I do recommend this manga to those looking for a lighter but still cool read :) read more

The first time i saw this book was in Waterstones and just by the the beautiful coverart (by Shiori Teshirogi) i decided to buy it ... and hour later and i was thirsting for more!!
The star of this story is a 14 year old school student, Kieli, who has the ability to see ghosts.
She has always felt alone due to her abilities and so therefore finds the company of ghosts more comforting than normal humans.
However one day she meets Harvey, an Undying (pretty good looking ....BONUS!!! XD )and Kieli finally finds someone who she is able to be herself with. .

both have immortal males and strong girls that end up following them on journeys. both are romantic and both are pretty darn good.
Very alike love stories with similar characters, art and story.Strong immortal mail lead and young girl with strong personality and will.

They're both very different; Hana to Akuma was a lot longer, and had more of a "romantic feel", though Kieli was romantic, too...
But they're both about two young girls who are in love/dependent on an older male who never dies. Though H to A had a much sadder ending, they're both very bittersweet. c:
