3,864 Gundam: G no Reconguista Vol.1 Special Limited Edition
837 Gundam: G no Reconguista Vol.1 Regular Edition

Tomino failed, this is like the second Gundam for kids show that did not sell well the other one is Gundam AGE but i personally enjoyed that one

i think its time for Sunrise to stop making Gundam for kids

well for a huge name like Tomino ye its a flop but i think with 3000+ average disc sales they at least reach a break-even profit

I don't really see how it's a kids show. It's a little lighter in tone compared to a lot of the Gundam franchise but that doesn't make it for kids. Look at ZZ, it had comedy straight through the entire first half and I'd hardly call it a kids show.

Tomino stated before this show aired that this Gundam show is targeted for kids

Well maybe for its brand, like the sales for 00, unicorn, and other gundam content sell through the fucking roof, but in terms of being a loss of profit i think G reco isnt that big a risk, like its half of its normal length and definitely lacking in the budget department in animation. 4K in a week is ok for most shows, this will very likely be considered a huge flop in sunrise's eyes but i dont think they are gonna be losing any money. From the looks of it build fighters was what they were banking their bets on.

I just look forword to whatever gundam is next.

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Just curious, why do you think this is lacking in animation department? The production value looks pretty high to me, looking at the amount of details, special effects, number of frames etc etc this doesn't look like a show that's cheap to make

This is outdated logic.

the manabi line is meaningless now with blu ray as the main format.

not really considering that the average anime production is around 100,000 to 150,000 dollars

1 disc/volume consist of 2-3 episodes and it sold for about 90 dollars so lets say 150,000 x 2 = 300,000 dollars divide that by 90 dollars and they will need an average 3,333 disc sales per volume so they still at least break-even

Those aren't great numbers, but honestly what matters more than anything with a Gundam series is gunpla sales; if those are doing well, the series will be profitable. I have no idea how to find that kind of data, though.

Just to set the record straight. G Reco sold just over 9k on average, the first week sales were under-reported.
