I thought the end of this episode, with Godai alone on the subway on Christmas eve was very sad.

This is getting sour, what does Godai think he's doing by going out with Nanao?

Good question, he's just digging the whole deeper...

Yet another Christmas gone and Godai still can give Kyoko presents.
This episode was completely FILLER. I do not remember this in the manga.

Already over 2 years past. No progress with Kyoko in a really long time. This is pretty sad. But the scene where Kozue rests on him was pleasant.

I knew this would happen in the middle of a long running romance anime. If only it was 39 episodes total and cut out most of the filler/fluff.

Godai's making it hard for me to pity him; I mean he's doing Kyoko a favor, but it involves Souichirou, so of course he's going to get sad over it. But then there's his situation with Kozue, which stills upsets me that he's still leading her on...can't he just be single already! Aside from that, Godai sure was mature and selfless this episode, but it was sad when Kyoko watched as the train Godai was on went away.

Not gonna lie, I actually thought the gift exchange in the cinema was one of the cutest moments, even tho Godai shared that moment with Kozue.

The ending was indeed a tad sad :/

Those gifts really had me worried throughout the episode, expected him to mess up by giving the wrong stuff to the wrong person

I love this episode. It shows how good of guy Godai is. He's willing to work his ass off to make people happy. He might not be perfect but that's what I like about him. I hate how many people see him either as a rapist or gay since he can't get the girl fast enough. Personally the longer it takes the more satisfying it will be when we get there. I mean episodes like this make it worth it in the long run.

It was like this man Yotsuya-san was waiting his whole damn life to say those words so he got the opportunity to do it by licking that rock. a really weird man indeed.

Also yeah it's almost 3 years gone by.

I'm surprised he didn't mess up the gifts, that's some growth.

Wasn’t it Christmas yesterday in this show, feels like it anyway lol. This time they managed to write a two-parter about a rock, gotta admire the skill to make that interesting lol, but it truly is, Kyoko found it while cleaning and the source came up randomly when Godai was with Ikuko, turns out it was a gift Soichiro got Kyoko, it’s odd that Kyoko would forget that but maybe it’s not that she forgot, but she wants to learn more about the rock now that she’s rediscovered it, guess we’ll find out in the next one. And speaking of Ikuko, wow she’s really growing up, feels weird to see actual time progression in a long running show like this but it makes sense, I guess Kentaro is doomed to be stumpy like his parents tho because he hasn’t grown an inch lol.

And that Kozue scene was straight sugar man, she could be the main girl in another romance anime and that would be the ultimate romantic Christmas scene, but in this show she’s the second girl but still has such good moments with Godai, I love it, seeing her so happy made my heart melt. But with this being a two-parter, things had to go wrong for Godai at some point, he still hasn’t given Kyoko her gift and I bet your ass that Sakamoto lost the rock, I’m sure it’ll be a fun one tho, the Christmas episodes have been great so far after all.

So much happened in this episode. Kyoko asked Godai to find out what a rock is, which turns out to be a present given to her by Soichiro. Godai had a lot of part time jobs to work to be able to buy presents, and he worked with Sakamoto. He gave the rock to Sakamoto to ask his friend what it is. Several times, Godai missed giving the present to Kyoko. At the end, Kyoko and Godai parted ways, as Godai was going to pick up the rock. She was left with Mitaka on the way to the party. The look Kyoko made at the end! Wow! It looks like she really wanted Godai to come with her.

I was worried something bad would happen, like wrong present to the wrong person, or Sakamoto would lose the rock. But nothing happened. The only thing wrong that happened, really, was Godai and Sakamoto acting like dumbasses at their jobs, and Kyoko being left with Mitaka. What's going to happen with the party and with the rock?
