Doujins need absolutely no plot because 90+% of them are one shots.... H-manga on the other hand are basically regular manga with a lot of sex scenes so this is where plot can in fact matter. For me, it's mostly about two things: #1 Art. #2 Censorship. The truly great doujins and H-manga have some of the best art you will see in comics period....not only do they rival regular manga, they sometimes very much surpass them. And censorship is also important to me.....mosaic censorship is an absolute turnoff, and it can ruin the whole damn thing. Lines, light and shadow censorship is tolerable. Sometimes you get the perfect combo.....amazing art and uncensored doujins. Clesta and Ishikei are two very good examples. They mostly do full color one shot doujins and most of the time it gets uncensored versions by groups who decensor it. The result is absolutely amazing! |
